battlefield bad company stats

    Anybody else having problems gettin stats for bad company on the official EA website . you have to have an EA account and link you gamertag to said account . only problem is it wont work . not for me anyway . it just sends you round in an endless loop and drives you mad . and still no stats . ( this is true for the game and the demo ) so there is no way for me to claim the ' Free ' weapons in the ' find all five ' crap they ran with the pre relese BS . what a suprise , and coincidence that these weapons were originaly inteded to be downloadable content that we were going to pay for . To be honest Im more bothered about the stats . I'm a geek , I love stats . why aren't the stats in the game without having to use a Pc . what about the console gamers that dont have a Pc . and paid more for game than Pc version as well .

    Yes i am having problems too. Dont even bother to try to link your gamertag ive tried it heaps but its just EA their a CRAP company. I feel sorry for the developers for even signing a contract with EA. They just make things so complicated to the point where it does'nt work. Well i have my E-mail address and my password linked to my xbox live gamertag when i created it right?, so when i try linking it on the Ea/ Badcompany site it just says "sorry This account is already attached to another login" when im using the email+password i used to create my Xbox Live acoount like it suggested. So yer dont worry too much theres nothing we can do about it we"ll just have to deal with it. Only EA can fix this problem so till When/ If they do it there is nothing we can do about it.

    Well you can always give them a prod through their support webpage.

    My gamertag was already linked to my EA account and I couldn't get it to work with B:BC's stats so I contacted them about account merging problems and within 24 hours it was sorted.

    I had the same problem too, however i found a post from someone on another forum and they suggested using this link

    http://badcompany.ea.com/myprofile/xbox/****/

    replacing the ****'s with your gamertag (and/or the xbox part with ps3) and it worked for me no problems.

    Thanks digitalscars . that link sort of made it work . at least for now . not exactly as you put it though . but it has made it work . I noticed the ***** in the ADDRESS BAR after I logged into the EA EMAIL account and the page said ' cant find that soldier ' but in the address bar at the end were a seris of **** which I replaced with my gamertag

    ******** you replace with your gamertag .

    For some reason the link I copied hasnt fully shown in this post it should look like this
    badcompany.ea.com/Default.aspx?SysPage=myprofile&xbox=********

    thats made it work for me . thanks again .

    I think my problem may be that my gamertag was linked with the old type EA screen name and thats how I used to gain acces to my BATTLEFIELD 2 modern combat stats .
    I agree with other posters that this is far too complex . why do these companys insist on us registering with them ??
    why cant we just go to a stats page in the damn game we've bought ???

    Actually Derbs, he's got a point. I've currently got SIX personas on my EA account, thanks to their awful account policies:

    Persona Name: Chockster(Battlefield Persona)
    Persona Name: Chockster(Xbox Live Gamertag)
    Persona Name: chockster(BF2 Soldier Name)
    Persona Name: Lovemoose(Battlefield Persona)
    Persona Name: Lovemoose(EA ID)
    Persona Name: Lurvemoose(EA Classic Screen Name)

    Now that is far too complex.

    And even though my tag is linked on that page, when I go to my stats, it's still "linked to another account".

    Make sure there's nothing breakable with in striking distance.

    FFS! I lodged a support query to get mine linked manually. And lo and behold it worked. Now... it doesn't.

    derblington . Have you tried it out yourself or are you just assuming everbody else is an idiot but you . if you havent tried it it goes a bit like this .
    sign into EA with your email and passwork . ok thats worked .
    go to solder stats . NO GAMERTAG is linked with that name .Plese click the link below to link your gamertag to the EA login name . Ohh goody thats easy . so click the link and put in your EA email name in and password . it then replies with . THAT GAMERTAG IS ALREADY LINKED WITH AN EA ACCOUNT . . I wont go into it anymore but it just keeps sending you in circles .

    If its not working for you ( ANYBODY ) try Digitalscars link . thanks to him/her I got the stats working .

    dirk, i'm sure derbs is quite aware of how the whole thing works...no need for the sarcasm.

    The servers are just messed up, same as with the game.
