    Woah, that looks incredible.

For leeds folk, Twisted Burger Company are doing a kitchen takeover at Aire Bar. Went at lunchtime and they're very good, nice range too.

That, my friends is from the very awesome Meathammer at Nice n Sleazy, Glasgow.

Can thoroughly recommend it as a destination...

    This is the Dictator:

Burger, smoked bacon, gruyere, beer battered onion rings, tomato, mustard-pickled cucumbers, garlic mayo, ketchup + buffalo sauce

Although its not usually served sideways..

You can totally eat these no problems. I know what you mean, I usually hate big burgers as they're messy.

This guy makes his own buns, keeps everything tight. Never had a spillage more than a bit of sauce.

I would personally much prefer a wider burger than a tower like that.

Been a while since I made my burgers. Inspired by a Meat Wagon Dead Hippie I had the other day in Leeds' Trinity Kitchen, I decided to make my own version of a Meat Wagon / Liquor / Market delight - the Black Palace. A big old mess of meat, cheese, steaming hot sliced onions, pickles, mustard and ketchup. It was awesome.

Used the simple Warburton's buns as recommended by wobbly_Bob himself, toasted a bit on the inside and steamed briefly in the onion pan to get a shine on the outside. Sainsbury's steak burgers (the highest meat content and plainest ones they do) pulled in half and re-rolled in to smaller burgers (more McDonald's size than those stupid door-stop ones) so they could be quickly cooked and fit in the buns and my mouth - cooked on a hot griddle pan with mustard on one side and the cheapest cheese slices I could find melted on the other. Sauce made of equal parts American mustard and ketchup, with a splash of Worcester sauce and a handful of finely diced pickles thrown in. Onions sliced and cooked slowly in a pan with a bit of sugar added so they went all brown and sweet.

Seriously good, would eat again. Just need to make my own boozy shake.

@monkehhh - sounds good! Dead hippy is an awesome burger. It's a dirty cheesy slut of a burger.

I often do the same thing in trying to replicate a burger I really enjoyed. I haven't tried doing a dead hippy at home though.

@Slurmseh yo sorry for missing this.

Yeah, I think it is much better. Went to bmb a couple times and their meat failed to impress for the price. It wasn't in any way bad, just nothing special imo.

Sleazys is cheaper too where each thing is under a rennet where bmb racks up the bill pretty high. Their chilli fries were good though but Sleaxy does really good triple fried ones.

Go! And come back and tell that that Ecosse how wrong he was.

Finally got to Honest burger yesterday, and thankfully it lived up to the hype. It's a different proposition to Meat Liquor/Dirty Burger as your serves a burger that's not oozing meaty juices when you do as much as look at it. Instead it's just an impeccably tasty and well seasoned burger that doesn't make you feel like a filthy pig. Paprika onion rings were among the best I've ever eaten and the chips were crispy and fluffy on the inside sprinkled with rosemary. For two people it was just a shade over 10 each with drinks as wells. Highly recommended!

As long as it's tasty, the more the merrier I say. I love a good spicy beanburger, just hate veggie stuff when it's super dry.

I have only now just noticed the spelling mistake in the thread title.

Oh, and I had a very nice 12oz burger with pulled pork, cheese, bacon, onion and a fried egg the other day. Messy.

    not a force for good

The Byronosaurus Rex: 6 0z burger patty, onion ring, crispy smoked bacon, american cheese, jalapenos, pickles, bbq sauce and mayonnaise.

WoW! What a burger! This burger was amazing and probably the best Byron burger so far, and there have been some incredible burgers! Every single element worked in perfect harmony with each other. Seriously, it was a burger symphony of cheese and meat. You gotta try this bad boy! It's on till the 29th and then it's the Miami Slice special...

I had one, I didn't think it was that great, decent enough but too much going on for my tastes. Perhaps the Byron by me is shite. Went to 5 guys recently as well, it was all right nothing to write home about. I think south african beef has spoiled me, I had the best burger of my life out there. Can't wait to get back.
