    @Petulant_Radish agreed! A burger patty should be cooked medium rare or you are cooking all the favour and juices put of the most. All my burgers are cooked to medium rare and always order them that way.

    That's not what I mean... It's not that it looks rare, but... Weird, for want of a better word. Maybe it's just the way it's shot, and as you know, I have cooked many burger in my time, and eaten many, but they don't look like that. It's weirdly pale/anemic and the bottom is burnt not charred.

    Danger burger lovers, DANGER!!

    Interestingly this was at Almost Famous again, and one of the burgers mentioned has pretzels in it. Pretzels. In a burger. Pfffft.

    We're going to need to have surgeries to give us snake-like jaws to eat the latest monstrosities!

    Pretzel IN the burger? I hear the pretzel bun is the new thing, but that's taking it a step too far.

    @Petulant_Radish Love how they drop this bomb more than half way through..
    Peate has Ehlers-Danlos syndrome (EDS), which means she has hyper-flexible joints that are unstable and therefore prone to dislocation, so she has visited many hospitals over the years.
    Fuckin' journalists! :)

    @TheHammerite I was intrigued by it, but they never brought it to the UK so never had the chance to try it. It was probably rank though.

    I've had it! Not bad, but very greasy... the fried version, anyway. It wasn't good enough to entice me back for another.

    Yes! I read about that! Their next special they announced on twitter was tagged as "jaw dropping".

    Going back a couple of pages back to Shake Shack in Covent Garden, I found it really disappointing... more than anything the taste of the cheeseburger reminded me of McDonalds.

    Have been to (one of the) Shake Shacks in Manhattan and the burgers there were fantastic, hot and juicy. The closest I have found to that in London is at MeatLiquor.

    The 'concrete' at the Shack, though - basically ice cream - is lovely and I would probably go back just for that.

    Tried Baron's Latest special Le Smokey and it was amazing. I would say it's the best burger they have done to date.

    60oz beef, crispy bacon, smoked cheese, chilli bbq sauce, shredded lettuce, pickles, and crispy onions.

    [img=]

    It looks like a great burger and the scent of aged beef fills your nostrils as it's placed in front of you. The bacon is paper thin and and crisped to porky perfection. The chilli bbq sauce lends a nice smokey kick with the cheese adding to the smokey tones.the crispy onions are a fantastic addition bringing a great crunch.

    If you are a fan of good burgers then I urge you to try it. I think it's available till the end of October.

    Didn't Maccy's do a similar thing when promoting Star Wars? I think they did a black bun too.

    Tried Honest Burger (http://www.honestburgers.co.uk/) the other day, as a new branch opened down the road from us over the weekend.

    Not impressed. The meat, whilst good, was overshadowed by a very poor overly large bun, they were a little stingy with the relish too, which made for a very dry burger overall. I had the Honest Burger and the missus had the cheese burger. The honest burger is just a cheese burger with bacon and pickles.

    Avoid.

    From their website;

    "A SERIOUS RIVAL FOR THE TITLE OF BEST REASONABLY PRICED BURGER IN LONDON"

    Someone needs to come up with snappier names for these titles :/

    Also it reads like a backhanded compliment to me!
