In tribute to smoothpete, just inserted a quarterpounder with cheese in another quarterpounder with cheese (no chips, gotta watch those carbs). Having a McDonalds right opposite the office is probably not a good thing.

Insanity; but I wonder if anyone on EG is brave enough to try the above with 3 BK XL Bacon Double Cheeseburgers...
I could probably do 2, but 3 would simply be too tall to fit in my mouth...

But fuck it, if we're going all out, I could try it with 3 double whoppers! I'd have to bring a knife and fork with me
Problem with the double Whopper challenge is that all that Salad and sauce will make it difficult stacking them all in the same bun - at least with the XL, it should all pack together nicely. Plus all that bacon for extra heart attack inducing goodness.

Byron is fucking shit. I've been to 3 different ones in London and every single time the burger, is nothing special, tastes like something I could've made at home. It may be presented in a classy way, the restaurants and staff are really nice, but the food is just not worth the money. You can get much more interesting burgers at GBK for cheaper, especially with the vouchers you can get online.

@Lexx87 Just a random rant :D I can also vouch for Meat Liquor, last time I went there I shared a Bubba burger with the missus. Yes shared. Meat is tasty, but quite greasy.

There's a place on (I think) Portobello road called Babes and Burgers. I was very disappointed to find out that it's a kid and baby friendly restaurant rather than being like Hooters. Bastards.

EDIT: And I'm pretty certain that is where this infamous picture comes from.

Meat Liquor is a bit greasy, but has really good flavour.

Best burger for me at the moment is at Lucky Chip :)

I've been to Meat Liqour and the burgers were excellent, however the deep-fried pickles and buffalo wings were revelatory. I'd go back for them alone.

Me, the OH, and her sister went to Meat Liquour last night. I was really looking forward to this as A) i'm a big foodie and B) a bit of a burger fan. I eat my own home made burgers twice a week and have been doing so for some time. Years of experimentation and study have led me to make ( if i do say so myself, pretty good fucking burgers ) and others have also liked them loads. I have also been to shit load of burger joints.

I have to say i was disapointed in the food. The food is good, dont get me wrong, but not amazing. The burger itself is... Just ok. Me and emma had the dead hippie and me Gf had the swiss. I was expecting more gooey cheesy rich juicy burger goodness but the patty sad kind of dry and the cheese and sauce left me wanting more. For me, imho, Byron do a far better burger.

The chilli fries where nice but too much chillie not enough fries. The onion rings were good but no better than any other place. The deep fried pickes were really nice and so were the buffalo wings tho the sauce you get is in a thimble sized container.

Cocktails and vibe were outstanding. The music and the buzz combined with the interesting decour made it feel like a fun place to be. The drinks are fantastic. Im going back because i have read the food can be a bit inconsistant so i want to try the burger again -  but mostly going back for vibe and booze.

service was a mess. Menu is cunfusing. So called sharing items are small portion but we ordered 3 slaws ( side dish ) only to come in  huge portions. Wtf? We only got 2 we ordered but still tried to charge us for the third one. Also we wanted all the stuff to come together but was told we cant do that only to see the table next to us get that. Wtf? Also Emma cut herself on a chip on the glass and got a plaster and drink changed. Not much og an apology for a health and safty violation.

So we are going back mid may for sure but might be back sooner and will update my impressions.

What happened to Emma?! Did she need hospitalization? Did she get blood poisoning? Is she going to be okay? What's going to happen to her house? Can I have it?

If any of you ever go to California (though I think Nevada and Texas have some locations, too) be sure to check out arguably one of the best burger chains in the US of A!
