    It's a bit sad, really.

I have a 'Fargo' and 'Metropolis' poster on one wall - 'The Mummy' (Karloff version, natch), 'Dawn of the Dead' and 'Rear Window' on another (with a he-uge framed cinema poster of Woody Allen's 'Husbands and Wives'). On a different wall we have a rather cool Spanish 'Creature From The Black Lagoon' poster along with 'The Cabinet of Doctor Caligari'. Mixed into this horrible mess, are a few random Evil Dead 2 / Carrie / The Shining posters.

I was about to say don't call him "Gok" even though it's his name as it sounds like a mispronounced insult. Call him Wang instead, much more polite.

    :)

    Heh Go Riker! :)

Brown. Just plain, unadorned, relentless, shit-coloured brown.

    BROWN

    BROWN

    BROWN

    BROWN.

Personalisation of desk space is forbidden in the civil service, it leads to a sense of identity which can be dangerous.

No personality, that's the way the uni is going too.
I.T.'s more "Professional" apparently but as we're a uni not a corporate or government department no matter how much the managers would like to think we are all it's doing is demotivating the staff. Awesome! :)

It's not true actually, I made it up. Yes, I'm a billy bullshitter.

However, it isn't worth tarting up our own work space because it's not our own workspace anymore. We hot desk now so I could be here one day and

    over here the next.

It leads to some pretty exciting configurations I can tell you.
