Yeah, it's pretty good for a remake. One of Jet Li's better moments.

    Drunken Master I and II

Obviously all the Bruce Lee films are classics. I can't tell whether you're saying you've seen them all, but Way Of The Dragon is definitely worth watching, if only for the greatest nunchaku scene of all time. :)

    I love that film :)

Also like most of his early films, particularly things like Once upon a time in China.

Honestly, why all the love for lame wire work? I can't see the appeal myself, I prefer to see a well choreographed fight.

I like it all. Depends on the mood - wire-work films are the Eastern equivalent of Lord of the Rings.

Also, you gotta see Warriors Two. (nothing to do with the Walter Hill film)

What he said. Gimme anything from the early days of chopsocky, over all that floaty nonsense.

The Big Boss / Fists of Fury / Enter the Dragon > all

Barefoot Kid and Flirting Scholar are alright, but they are just on the cusp of the big floaty about wuxia fad.

I quite like the Chinese Fantasy flicks, like Mr. Vampire, Saviour of the Soul and Close Encounters of the Spooky Kind 2. They have some incredible stunt/fight work - like the fight with the vampire at the end of Mr. Vampire where the guy jumps up quite high, hangs upside down and then takes quite a fall.

+1 for Ong Bak, too - those fight scenes were bloody amazing. Especially when dudes take flying knees to the mushki.

Basically I agree with most of afghan_jones' list, too :)

    I'm a grumpy bastard.
