Registered 8 years agoJust about back for me.
Also my dad received an email announcing the doubling of speed, which was shortly followed by an apology "oh we're sorry, no, not for you where you are"ლ(ಠ益ಠლ

Registered 8 years agoThought it was weird that I wasn't logged in to Live earlier. Given that Virgin are relatively expensive, it's not really acceptable for this to happen if it really is borked traffic shaping. Problems outside their control are fair enough. -

Registered 10 years agoBeen proper dodge for me recently, thought it was just the ole Superhub up to its usual tricks though. My favourite was last Tuesday night when I was launching a six-figure project from home, and the internet went down at 12:30am after I'd spent 3 hours and managed to get to 1790/1800 items live... tits. -

Depends which way you look at it. I've either got an amazing 30mbit line or a shit 50mbit line.

Except I'm paying for the latter.+1 / Like / Tweet this post

Registered 10 years agoI must be one of the few people that have never had any real problems, other that the not so superhub it it all good. I just put that in modem mode now and use my old router and all my problems I first had with drop outs etc vanished.
I have only lost connection a couple of times due to network outages and pretty much get the full speed on speedtests all the time..
I bet it will be a load of shite tomorrow now I have said this

Registered 11 years agoI think it's me and some ropey dns settings I put into my router.
It's usually solid as a rock.

Registered 10 years agoThe only think I had that made my superhub drop out was my phone, whenever I came in it used to make the network totally hang while it obtained an IP. never found out why.. very odd. -

My internet drops almost every other day. Really, really fucking frustrating especially when it happens at night when you can't call anyone.
The other problem I have is that my internet speed seems to degrade over time. It's visibly noticeable, to the point where refreshing EG can take up to a minute. I then end up making a call to the tech team, they "change some settings" on their end, and bam, my speed goes back to normal.
Then it all starts to degrade again over the next few weeks. Smells of something deliberate on their end.
Also, my set-top box is infuriatingly unresponsive to remote control inputs. Doesn't respond to you pressing a btton, so you press it again. And again. Ten seconds later, your channel browsing page jumps by five pages as the rubber band finally snaps back into position and the box finally executes all the inputs at once.
For £70 a month, I expect a lot more.Now with 80% more Cthulhu!
