  Blasting Agent was just released recently...
  a really good platform shooter!
  with lots of gold to collect, enemies to fight, bosses to battle, upgradeable weapons...
  can be finished in about 20 - 25 min.

  I was going to start a 'savage platform game' thread, but 'tis friday and I can't be arsed. Might do it later, seeing it seems to be one of the genres du jour.
  
  Anyway, Gil is both charming and savage, and has put pay to my lunch hour quite neatly. Complete Mountain level nine on the first go and I'll call you a liar...

  @BanjoMan Last Stand is great. I have recently found out about a game called Dead Zed, which is similar to The Last Stand but I find it more interesting. So my pick of the week is Dead Zed.
