The person running the NZ one walked me to the edge, got me to look over, and then pushed me while having hold of my harness with the other hand.

Unknown to me, he'd been playing up to the camera before behind my back and was building up to the surprise of pretending to launch me over the edge...

    ...

I didn't respond. Didn't jump, didn't flinch, didn't do anything, other than turn and look at him. His face on the video afterwards was quite amusing. I was a bit fucked off to be honest.

Had a similar incident on an abseil tower. The rope through my carabiner, unknown to me, only went to half way down the tower. I was also on a safety line. I went down, got half way and found the end of the rope. Oh noes says the instructor. I let go of my rope and tell him he'll have to let me down then & sit there.
They spoke to me afterwards and commented on how I took it well but it was a no brainer to me, I had a safety line and they were in charge of that. I didn't realise it was a 'joke' until they told me they did it lots to try and knock some people down to size. Even boasted how they had some poor saps close to tears, sure they were going to fall to their death. Just made me feel a bit sad for the instructors, this was the only way they could have fun on their job, at the expense of someone else that was effectively under their protection. Wouldn't wish that on the most annoying kid.
I was even more confused as I always try and show the instructors at these centres respect as they do get a crappy deal sometimes.

Keep laughing at this combo, for some reason:

yeah I have issues with vertigo so if I was doing a bungee jump it would have taken a lot for me to get up to do it. If someone pulled that sort of stuff, someone would be going to hospital. (it wouldn't be me). Maybe they have the sense to not do it to people who look like they can eat people though.

EDIT: also that cigarette packet thing is genius.

That's some pretty accurate planning and execution right there.

Pretty lucky too judging by how close he was to the water when his chute opened properly. I'm guessing you don't plan something like that.

    That's pretty awesome.

Hope they dug it out quick enough to drain the thing.

    Fuuuuuucking hell.

That looks more like a darwin award gone wrong than a stunt gone right. :-)

My thoughts exactly. Couldn't they have gone like, you know, skydiving or something instead?

Suppose it could've been their intention to make millions of YouTube moneyz to begin with though.

I'm pretty sure the bike would be ok afterwards. Drain the air box, carb and exhaust. Kick it over with no plug in to clear the cylinder of water and it'll be fine!

Did you not see Guy Martin's attempt to ride a dirt bike on a lake? They dragged that back up and got it going in no time.

Ok the forks may possibly be bent a bit but motocross bikes are designed to stand up to stupid crashes.
