Have rockstar ever done E3 with GTA? Not sure they need it chances are as soon as you heard GTA5 mentioned you already knew if you were buying it or not.

GTA:SA was the last time they did GTA @ E3. Even then it was a secure area for only a select few.

They took a similar stance to Blizzard and pulled out of E3 a few years ago as, in the words of Dan Houser, it was a giant circle jerk for developers and distributors that was more interested in making money from potential advertisers.

There have always been loads of pointless activities in GTA games. They're there to make the world more believable. You'll probably have to do them once in a mission, then you can forget about them forever if you want.

Why horseshoe chucking in Red Dead Redemption?
It fits with the rich lifestyle stuff of people like Michael. There will probably be pool etc in bars and some weird redneck stuff for Trevor.

@DarkSpaceDS I love the pointless activities in GTA games, they give you a break from doing the missions. I cannot wait to try out the golf one.

Will this have a drug dealing side quest like the one in Chinatown Wars? Loved that.

I can see what you mean but why golf ? :(
I'm quite looking forward to the golf, was always a shame the course in VC never gave you a round or 2.

Beats drink driving and quite frankly cringworthy terrible cabaret

Only a complete loon would pay that much for all the extra tat.

Edit* Sold out at Amazon? Guess there are plenty of loons.

    But, but...
It has a cap, that will never be worn because it will lose its newness.
A bag that will never be used because it might get scuffed.
A key ring that might get scratched by your keys.
An extra map that is blue, but might get fingerprints on it.

Granted the steelbook does look nice.

Yeah, it will probably be the same feeling as buying Twilight Princess with a new Wii 7 years ago.

"Why did I buy an expensive new console to buy a game that I could have played on my old one with less gimmicky features shoe-horned in?"

All the eurogamers who actually play with each other on xbl rather than just post pseudointellectual pc handwringing bollocks on the forums, love the shit out of biggy.

Golf is the perfect game for GTA, you get a bag full of weapons.

Can't wait to chase after someone with a 9 iron and have a gun battle while blasting over the back nine in a golf cart.

Then just wait and buy it when it invevitably comes out for the next gen consoles maybe?

Yeah, they'll obviously do a GTA V: Ultra edition or whatever for the next gens.

That was then. This is now.

While Rockstar certainly aren't as obviously money hungry as many other developers out there right now, releasing some kind of deluxe edition for the next gen consoles with all the DLC a year or so after initial release or maybe even alongside the PC version is just a no brainer.

I think a port is very likely, especially as a proper next gen GTA is probably really quite a long way off.
