If you go "full retro" darkspace, does it mean you'll stop posting here?

lol you have to buy the collectors edition to have the pleasure of having custom characters online?
Hardly seems like a bonus, more a restriction imposed on het the lesser editions.
Seems a bit of a shameless moneygrab for something you's expect to be the same across the board.
One company I will defend on DLC is RockStar.
They make all pre-order DLC available for purchase at a later date. Even the stuff done as exclusive promotions with third parties.

He/She's confused the ability to create MP characters with the special edition bonus of pre-set MP characters from past games.

Of course it's easier to RAAAGE than actually read something properly in the first place.

I don't necessarily think that's a bad thing, especially if it's used in the same way RDR used that Jose Gonzales track when you first arrived in Mexico.

I'll never get my Orc looking the same again.

I did defend them on 4 even with their grubby MS deal, they showed how DLC should be done. With 5 I'm losing that respect more and more as we are finding out what they are doing. Special matrix power boosted even more flying missions on the CE. An online store for virtual tat. It does seem Rockstar are sinking to standard industry money grubbing levels now sadly.

Can't speak for RDR as I never played it but in GTA that is going kill that real world immersion dead IMO (then again looking at some of the stuff they've done I think Rockstar are looking for a far more "gamey" GTA on this one anyway for better or worse). Hopefully it's not there a lot or, like I said, you can turn it off.

To give you an idea of the RDR background music, I hadn't realised it was there until kinky just mentioned it.

Yes I heard it whilst playing, but it fit so well that I never gave it a second thought and didn't think of it as background music.

Background music is fine. They nailed it in Red Dead, and the soundtrack to Max Payne was killer.

Yeah, that music that plays when you start the airport terminal is amazing.

Or there's just a good chance you missed it. If you pulled up the map the song would be cancelled. I compulsively look at the map because I like to know where I'm going, and the Jose Gonzales song had been playing for 5 seconds when I skipped it, so I rode in to Mexico to silence. They did do the same thing with a song in Tall Trees later in the game, which I didn't accidentally skip. I hope they implement music better in GTA V.

I tried to get back into RDR but the movement is so sluggish. I cant stand having to press a button to run, it should be auto run! We have analogue sticks for a reason, if its completely pushed to one direction i expect running!

I prefer pressing a button to run, for just general walking around it's a real pain to have to keep holding the stick halfway in one direction. I prefer the FPS method of clicking the stick to run though.

Yes - pushing a button is indeed best. Otherwise you're running around in circles whenever you have to move with precision.

I'd prefer alternating the triggers for left and right foot movement.

Give yourself 5 or gig, you're worth it.

No matter how obscure controls are you get used to them in 10 minutes, and hold a button to run is hardly taxing or cumbersome.

If you don't like pressing a button to run then fuck off back to your own country

Remember in RDR you had to tap to run with the horse. That was painful.

Didn't you just tap to build up speed then held the button to maintain that speed?

I'll never get my Orc looking the same again.

I remember continuous tapping. Maybe it was that you tapped to build speed, but then could tap less to maintain that speed?

    IDK!

Yeah you had to tap to whip the horse and build its speed up. Then you could just hold it when you reached max speed and the horse would still go fast enough, but if you kept tapping it'd go super fast and drain the stamina bar. Been playing a lot of RDR recently, I think the horse controls are great.

A full "analogue" system where you use the left and right sticks to move your legs and the triggers to raise and lower your feet would be ideal.

Running would then be a simple matter of left stick forward, left trigger in, left stick back, left trigger out, right stick forward, right trigger in, right stick back, right trigger out more quickly.

A simpler "digital" button pressing system could be selected via the game options for the casualtards.

I with you Modish, what about analogue clicks to depict the heel down motion?

Give yourself 5 or gig, you're worth it.

So it would be left stick forward, left trigger in, left stick click in, left stick click out, left stick back, left trigger out etc.. More realistic I think.

Give yourself 5 or gig, you're worth it.

Won't we all just sit on the sofa and kick out our legs in front of consoles cameras from the end of the year?

Nope. Your gonna have to suffer from me posting here for a very long time. All I can say to help is deal with it.
Nah, he'll probably just stick you on ignore when you go full retar...retro.
