Would be cool if you could fish in this, you could nick a nice yacht and go deep sea marlin fishing, or just a casual fish on one of the nice rivers, red dead missed fishing so bad.

Anyone read the preview of this in the recent Edge?

It sounds great. Basically says that they have the city design of GTAIV, the wilderness of Red Dead Redemption, and the combat of Max Payne 3.
So basically the greatest game ever made? What a way to see out this gen.
Pretty much! The underwater stuff sounds amazing too, it mentioned how beautiful it was, and a section where they explore a ship wreck on the ocean floor, with sharks and other sea life. I'm sure there'll be a couple of missions that require you to go diving, but they didn't need to do any of that.

They're the pictures that were printed with the Edge article. :D

I really like the second one, that's GTA alright.

I wonder how deep the ocean is in this game. There's probably something cool at the lowest point.

The underwater stuff has me pretty excited, because GTA has never really been about "finding things," but it seems they're adding an element of that. Who knows how far they intend to go with it.

I'll probably get the special edition. I do want that uber edition but it's so expensive. Any word on the UK pricing? The collector's edition is $149.99 in the states. $79.99 for the special edition.

Also with that blueprint map I hope it doesn't mean there's not going to be a map in every normal version.

Not really been following the whole thread, but I know this'll have gangs in it.

Does anyone know if gangs (shoot) react to you if you have a bad reputation with them ala GTA SA?

I've asked the question on Rockstar's comments.
Will report back if they answer.

According to how its worded in EG article:

"This exclusive, additional 21.5" x 26.75" map displays a blueprint view of Los Santos"

Sounds like its in addition to a normal map.

Someone at the gta forums has fabricated what the full map may look like.

    ...apart from the NE corner.

    I spotted that.

In the images above look at the rolled up map, its actually part of the other map shown in mirror image.

Flip, rotate and paste and voila....

Shopto are currently listing the Collectors Edition for £119.86.

Whatever you do, do not attempt to cranck up the temps in your blimp.

A map is like comparing velocity and speed.

    GAME.co.uk ‏@GAMEdigital

Happy to announce that GTA V Special Edition will be exclusive to GAME in the UK. @FranklinGTAV @MichaelGTAV and @TrevorGTAV made it so.

Yeah, seems about right. Really hard to justify it at that price. It's gonna be what, £50 more expensive than the LE, and all you get is a bag, a hat, a case, and some extra DLC stuff?

At least it comes with something tangible... which I fully expect them to have overpriced. I'm sick of these SEs that only come with digital outfits and the like.

    I want something to display!

The game is £40, right? That's all anyone needs imo. Never understood why so much money is wasted on the tat that comes with Special Editions.

Sorry, I know people here may well really really like them and I've probably just been quite rude to you. But seriously, those prices are crazy.

Any Netflix library in the world for a couple of quid a month? Gimme!

I would have bought the Special Edition for an extra £10 but since it's a Game exclusive and they want £65 for it, no way! I would have had to think twice about buying from Game even if it was reasonably priced. £120 (£150 from Zavvi) for the Collectors Edition is beyond belief since all it really gets you is a cheap hat and bag that no one will ever use, along with a couple of tiny bits of dlc.
I love GTA but there is no way I'm prepared to be taken to the cleaners for a few bits of extra tat. Publishers and Retailers need to learn some lessons very quickly before they bring about their own downfall. AAA games are on their way out and self publishing is becoming more common place. If this is how they treat their loyal customer base then I can't wait to see them all fail.
I want to make it clear that I think a lot about Rockstar and don't blame the developers of these games for this sorry state of affairs.

The GTA IV LE came with big metal safe box, a duffel bag and a soundtrack CD, ie more extra stuff than this, and was £69.99. The price of LEs has just gone mental. The Halo 3 LE with a giant head and two DVDs was £69.99, it would be at least £129 if it came out today.

Like the way that the map is displayed artistically rolled up, when in all likelihood it will be supplied folded small enough to fit inside the game case.
