Eating it was like munching your way through a cowfield.

    :D

I genuinely like Pizza Express pizzas, though. Capricciosa FTW.

God Pizza Express is bloody lovely!

    Sloppy Giuseppe FTW!

Ooo, no! I want one though. The thinner the base the better imo. It's all about the toppings.

On a side note, has anyone seen the latest pizza hut advert where they claim all there pizza's are hand made?

Surely them bases are pre made, on the advert it even shows them making the individual bites of the cheesy bites pizza, but I clearly remember going to pizza hut once and them saying that they were out of cheesy bites bases????

    False advertising surely......

Besides domino's is far nicer! and with my girlfriend being a nurse we get it all half price :-)

The new base is called Romana - they do specific pizzas with that base or you can have what you normally have with the Romana base for an extra £1.

    From the website:

"To make our Romana pizzas, the dough is rolled for longer. This creates a thinner, bigger and crispier base so that the bold flavours stand out even more. Made with mozzarella and our famous tomato sauce"

Even though it probably sounds like it, I don't work for Pizza Express, by the way :)

I've been working in Italy the last few weeks, and the pizzas here make me want to weep.

How can something so simple be so fucked up by other countries?

    So true.

If you're in london, then Basilico does pretty much authentic pizza - all very, very delish - but expensive. OTOH, they'll deliver lovely puddings and booze to your door as well.

Shame the day Chicago Pizza Pie factory closed - then Pizza Uno. Real Deep Dish Pizza is a thing of great beauty.

/is actually worth going to Chicago for. As well as Buddy Guy's Blues club.

This thread made me hungry too but all I had on me (that isn't intended for lunch) was this Go Ahead forest fruit bar thing. Not quite a pizza!
