    Binding of Isaac was great.

    Needs a controller, though.

Not sure if it counts, but I've finished with Tropico 3. I've played it a fair bit and did the 40 year sandbox mode (the 'missions' seemed pointless), but had no real desire to play it again as I'd probably end up doing the exact same things. Still, great value for 1.74.

I've also definitely decided to abandon Bully, after an interesting start it's now become really dull and samey. They had an interesting concept but the gameplay doesn't really do it justice. It would probably have benefitted from a more in depth social feature as well (like the Persona games).

Now I need to decide whether to go back to Psyhconauts or not. Does it get any better after the first hour? I found the platforming to be pretty dull really

Psychonauts does start really slowly but it does pick up eventually - as soon as you've done the training missions and opening level it opens up quite nicely.

I didn't finish the game either but I urge you to play it for a few hours until you get to 'The Milkman Conspiracy' level - two or three of the most interesting and funniest hours I've ever spent in a game. I gave up shortly after that.

    Gargalor is brilliant, too!

    Assassin's Creed 3

So much to do but none of it interesting, and in Connor they've managed to create a character with even less personality than Desmond. Would have been more interesting to continue playing as Haytham.

Do we get to play as Haytham in Black Flag ? or have I imagined I saw that somewhere

I still want to get ACIII even with the hate it gets, which seems to be a lot. I'm just waiting until sub 10 on Amazon. Having played all the other AC games (including ds and vita) Bro-in-the-hood is the best, brilliant game.

ACNL. It's been a fun hundred hours, can't say I haven't had value, but I'm now playing it because I feel I have to, it's stopped being enjoyable. I think it's time to lay it to rest, at least for a while.

I've given up on Space Chem and Hotline Miami recently. I was too thick to understand how space chem worked, although it looked very good. And Hotline Miami is brilliant but just too hectic and fast paced for me, I find it really stressful.

I also tried playing Psychonaughts again but the platforming was just too dull to continue.

    GTA4 episodes...

Loved the main game a few years ago and bought the episodes on release but you know how it is got distracted by new stuff and never bothered till now.The lesson for me is to play dlc while I'm still in the 'groove' with that particular game.

Have to say I found the experience bored the arse off me,slow controls being the main problem followed by slow loading, long cut scenes and dated graphics needless to say it's been shelved for good.

My fault perhaps should of played it on release!

    Agree with Paz
TBoGT is excellent, but I do agree that once you walk away from a game it is very hard to get back into. I'm finding that with DD DA

I'm almost ashamed to say it, but I've given up on The Last of Us. I'm just not really enjoying it... at all.

I managed to get to the Hotel section from the E3 demo, and I just found myself getting really frustrated with it. I'm not very good at stealth games as it is, and this one is really unforgiving when you end up getting caught. I'm not a fan of the one-hit kills from the Clickers, and the checkpoint system is one the worst I've ever seen - the game would frequently spawn me in an area surrounded by enemies where I would inevitably get caught and die... yet again. Really wanted to like the game, and there were a few moments that I did really enjoy (Bill's Town) but those didn't make up for all the times I got really frustrated with it.

    @BloodMountain88

    That's a bummer!

The AI is actually quite shit in it once you work out how it does things. I'm literally walking up to guys at about a 120 angle and "stealthing" them (they should be able to detect you from that range!).

It's possible to get through most of the encounters with the Infected without actually engaging them. Keep a bottle or brick for distracting them and you're golden.

Also, was gonna ask if you were a Mastodon fan given your name. Then I spotted your avatar, so duh me! :D

@BloodMountain88 I can empathise. I dislike stealth games. It took about 5 hours for me to gel with the game. After that point the combat clicked and I was ok, mostly, from then on.

Admittedly, most stealth encounters turned to shit but the wonderful, desperate, visceral combat was far more fun anyway. Also, being proficient with bricks to the head and always having a decent melee weapin is a must.

Fantastic game, but no game is for everyone so I wouldnt feel too bad about it.

It's just a shell of the first game, I'm around 10 hours in and absolutely sick of playing through the same areas over and over. Couldn't be bothered investing in a game this poor anymore, 5 years ago I would have persisted to the end.

@Pinky_Floyd Yeah, once I got to Bill's Town, I thought I was finally starting to 'get it', and then it all went to shit again when I reached Pittsburgh.

@FuzzyDuck I did eventually manage to figure out a couple of strategies for dealing with the Infected - I was about 3-4 hours in before I figured out the brick-to-the-face + melee weapon combo. Now it's the human enemies that keep getting the better of me.

    Payday 2

Rarely have time to play the multiplayer component. I really enjoyed the first few matches I played but the single player portion really is broken.

    Grid 2

Irritating presentation, inconsistent handling, strange collision physics, horrible AI.

Dead Space 3, got it in the humble bundle

Played for a bit, got interrupted and had to stop, next time I launched it I was greeted with the same boring, unskippable cut-scene I had watched before.

    Uninstalled it.

Didn't help that the little I've played felt like a bog-standard cover shooter with zombies.

Shouldn't probably even post it here, but hey.

    DOTA 2

I thought it was an action RPG, and for free, so why not. Could not even complete the tutorial, found it too long and boring.
I admire people who can invest many hours into this. Clearly not for me.

    @UncleLou

There's a few hours of DS3 that are absolutely stellar (heh), but it's the weakest game in the trilogy by some margin, so if you've played and enjoyed the other 2, you're not missing anything.

    Dead Rising 2

Got it as the xbox freebie last week. Played it for a few hours, saved a few survivors, killed a lot of zombies. Done a few missions after some useless bit where you chase a train on a motorbike. The whole thing seems like a rather turgid escort mission, and since it was free I have little desire to trudge on. Does it get any better or should I free up the hard drive space?

I loved the first Dead Rising but the second one was pretty much garbage. Quit it. Makes me wonder why people are getting so excited about the third one to be honest.

I abandoned Medal of Honour:Warfighter last night. Picked up up for a few bucks in the current Origin sale because i though that the previous game was ok. Played for an hour and encountered 4 game breaking bugs that persisted through checkpoint reloads meaning i had to restart entire missions because i couldn't progress anymore. Amateur hour shite.

    Need For Speed Most Wanted

This was a PS Plus freebie so I imagine I would stick with it a bit longer if I actually paid for it.

There is a good game in there somewhere, and I loved some races and exploring the city breaking advertising boards, but so much more of the game irritated the living fuck out of me. What the game considers a crash is really inconsistent, sometimes I could slam into a barrier and get away with it, other times I tap the rear end of another car at a crawl and somehow get turned into a crumpled write off. And the whole police chase mechanic was infuriating, especially during races where they seem to gain superspeed at some points to fuck up my good performance.

Also I found the steering incredibly floaty, but I'm putting this down to the sticks on the Playstation controller (this is the first racing game I've played on the PS3 rather than the 360) and those flimsy triggers aren't suited for racing at all.

All the eurogamers who actually play with each other on xbl rather than just post pseudointellectual pc handwringing bollocks on the forums, love the shit out of biggy.
