I think the story ws far from great, but it at least had some interesting characters and a great finale. GTA IV had nothinf. You did errands for a ton of unlikable and uninteresting characters, and then the game suddenly ends.

I thought GTA4 had a whole bunch of interesting characters, and the finale was pretty epic.

Well I spent a chunk of last night hurling my guts up, so ended up sitting on RDR all night.

Made it through Mexico, have acquired a few new weapons, completed the treasure hunting quests, so think I'll push on to the end now.

Don't think Undead Nightmare will get much of a look in though.

    Remember Me

The games looks amazing and the musical score is very impressive. The setting of new Paris makes a fresh change from the usual American city and it's a cool place to adventure through. The main character is interesting and the story seems good... It's a shame they forgot to put a game in. Dull combat, dull "platforming", dull combat, dull "platforming", dull combat, dull... And so on. Haven't played this for a week a d just can't bring myself to go back.

    5/10

    XCom; Enemy Unknown

I'm sure it's a great game, and I loved it back in the PS1 says. But I don't think I have that much patience to put up with the absolute bullshit that game thinks it can get away with.
Rage quit like a 'noob' and deleted that swift like.

    Fuckin' aliens.

I couldn't get into FTL. Honestly couldn't see how is that a rogue-like. I know it's very popular around here and I tried hard to see the appeal, but no. Not a game for me. And I am a person that can enjoy a good rogue-like.

    Ach. That's a shame.

It is a bit annoying when everyone else sings high praise of a game, but you play it and don't see what's so special. I don't quite get the 'rogue-like' bit either, other than random event and paths and basically dice-rolling to a degree.

I am tempted to abandon it as well.  Just cannot complete it even on easy.

Give one of the help guides a go before you throw the towel in. It's certainly not easy on 'easy' but it's very doable. Well, up until the boss anyway, but even that's not so hard if you can arrive prepared.

    Tokyo Jungle.

Abandoned, I just don't like it. It's not for me. The final nail in the coffin is not being able to save it. I know you can sort of but you have to gain a territory, stupid. The game is repetitive, simplistic, brutal, and non-sensical. Why does the world just level up with you?

@TheMayorOfJugs - what?? That has nothing to do with it. Poor game design. Oh the world is full of poodles. Oh wait now it's solely populated by tigers, gangs of crocodiles, bears, panthers and on.

It was crap in Oblivion and it's crap in this game and I use the word loosely.

@wobbly_Bob It's solely about survival though. It's supposed to get more and more difficult, until you unlock the strong animals. I'm just sayin', don't get mad :'(

I completely agree about Oblivion btw, ended up turning the difficulty down to nothing for some of the later quests out of pure frustration.

@TheMayorOfJugs - sorry it was late and I was hot, tired = grouchy :)

Yes it's about survival but the mechanisms in the game, to me, don't work. I wasn't sure I was going to like it but It's great to see different stuff like this and support it... Sometimes just gotta take a chance but it didn't work out this time.

Ahh I see, at least you tried it though. I like the arcadey trying to beat high scores side of it. And hunting lions as a pomeranian wearing shades, a nappy and a bandana. And....ahhh..... Securing future generations with a flea ridden bitch, then leading your entire litter of siblings around the place to be used as extra lives. Utter Japanese madness :-D

@Graveland - That's definitely how I felt about it, too. I didn't find that game as good as it was hyped up to be. I think if they are making another one they need to change it up a bit. Bioshock Infinite seems simpler and too samey.

Graveland is the new me :D

Abandoning stuff left, right and center. I'd still be the same if i was actually playing anything anymore.

Dark Souls again. Gave up at Bed of Chaos last time, this time it's Four Kings. I think there's just too much repetition for me to stay interested after however many hours.

Four Kings can be difficult, my method was always just to twat them with a zweihander.

You are a factory of sadness.

Four Kings are easy. Doublehand a sword and run in as close as you can to the first. Swing like crazy until he is dead, heal and then run at the second.

If you are quick it is possible to kill the first before the second spawns. And in turn kill that before the third gets there.

Edit: I used a greatsword I got from one of the black knights.
