In lieu of another more appropriate thread to post this, here's a meaty two hour mixset of various different tracks for you all to enjoy.

    Another Day Mix 2013

It's inspired by the mixes Blu Mar Ten made back in the day (all of which are excellent).

Tracklist is 32 tracks long so I won't paste it here - details (including download link) at the above-linked page.

    Enjoy!

I like the _unsubscribe_ remix that came off his recent EP.

Ronald Jenkees is doing the soundtrack for a game called 'There Came An Echo', and the tracks will be part of his next album. He's released a few snippets.

He needs to hurry the hell up though, his previous stuff was great. Jenkeeeees! *shakes fist*

There were some Tessala tunes and a guest-mix on Benji B's show this week. Pretty good I thought.

Anyone listened to Mixhell, apparently it's Igor Cavalera (of Sepultura fame) and his wife!

    I've been enjoying this today...

    Carpenter Brut - EP II

Synthy 80's TV Show/Film vibe that's head bobbingly good (to me anyway).

    https://soundcloud.com/adidasy3/sets/y-3-10th-anniversary

    Free compilation for download.

"...it is a well pitched collection of tracks, involving familiar names such as Âme collaborator Frank Wiedermann, the unique and eclectic Maurice Fulton, low down house boys Rub-n-tug, soulful house from Joe Claussell and scene pioneer Larry Heard in its lineup.

As expected from the contributors above, non-standard electronics and house is the order of the day—-not wanting to throw around tainted terms such as deep house or outsider house—-with a multitude of moods and tempos on show. Catering for all audiences, separate tracks are there for the purists, with a full DJ mix for casual enjoyment."

This stuff is interesting. Vaporware is apparently the genre it's in.

Oh for... I've been nattering about this stuff for the past day or so, and I've only just now realised that the genre is Vaporwave, not Vaporware.

Anyway, here's a big old neogaf thread about it : http://neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=683917

I get the impression it's going to have a short lifespan, but while it's hear it's nice and fuzzy sounding.

The new OPN is pretty awesome. When I read it was more like vaporwave my heart sank (I've listened to guys like Internet Club and felt it was music more suited to academic music writing than actually enjoying much as a listener), but it really hits the spot. Boring Angel and Zebra are particularly brilliant.

No one does it like Lopatin.

Also got the new Field album for two pounds on Amazon, which is a real bargain, but I haven't got round to listening to it yet.

Cupid's *something* isn't it? I had it on this morning. 6 tracks, doesn't outstay its welcome, rather nice!

This is coming from the person who hated that first Field outing, so a decent turnaround for me.

    Cupid's Head, yeah.

I thought the first one was a classic. Yesterday and Today lost it slightly, but Looping State of Mind was brilliant.

Wow, £2.09 is a real bargain. I've enjoyed all the albums for different reasons. Couldn't get into the latter half of Looping State Of Mind.

I actually wondered if it was a mistake. Amazon sometimes have deals to sell album downloads cheap on release though (I got the last Dirty Projectors album for £3.99, for example).

Just stuck it on now, I'll report back in due course!

Sublime... was classic - pretty much the only Field album I listen to all the way through (though the other two were still very decent LP's).

Can't wait to listen to Cupid - glad I popped into the thread as I had no idea it was out!

On a bit of a whim, I just bought myself a microkorg xl limited edition.

I've had it for about an hour, and I'm already in love with the thing, despite having no clue what I'm doing.

    Get bent.

Quite enjoying Cupid's Head. 'No. No...' is amaaaaazing. The 'darkness' of it is a bit overstated though, it's hardly Ben Frost or something.

When/if I get my bigger house, getting equipment is first order of the day.

Already got someone offering to lend me some Technics, I have the S4 and Macbook (wish I'd hung onto my scratch upgrade now). Just want some keyboard and synth fun. Also, my vinyl collection now stretches to an almighty THREE pieces. Just nice to have some again, was agog at some of the prices of the old things I'd sold - Atjazz's Slide It In for £80, Pepe Bradock's Burning for about £50.

    Its £300!

My budget is more like £3.

Will have a listen to it though, intrigued.

Unfortunately I have to spend money on things like cots and whatnot.
