    Video sucks. Song is good.

^ Cut-up version of the original. For some reason, Feed My Meatmachine can't be found on youtube in its entirety.

The new Burial EP has just been officially released on Hyperdub and iTunes.

First listen... he's going further and further down the experimental route, which is nice in a way to see he isn't just putting out the same popular sound as every other Dubstep producer to find a bit of fame.

But as a whole, the EP isn't as strong as Kindred was.

But more new Burial is always a good thing in my book.

It's very fragmented. Quite strange. A lot of strong stuff in there but I'd like to get into the groove of it more before it moves on to something else. Sort of reminds me of Actress's RIP from this year in that way.

    @PearOfAnguish Cheers :D

Tell you what, for the strong of stomach here's a terrible mashup I made many years ago at Christmas of Chas 'n' Dave with a load of dancey stuff.

It's the Chas 'n' Dave Rave! I'm very sorry.

I wish Burial would stop making the same tune over and over again.

I've never really been that convinced by any of Starkey's output of full length instrumental releases, especially when Grime emcees like Trim are picking out his best beats to vocal (I'm going to have to listen back to my recording of that set Trim and Starkey did on Rinse again, was a lot). Just seen that his old album is 2 on Amazon though so I might just take a punt on that.

For my own recommendation I put forward Ruff Sqwad's reissue White Label Classics which compiles instrumentals previously only released on vinyl, Ruff Sqwad started as a group of teenagers who bunked off school back in 2002 to go and press up copies of some of their tunes to play them on pirate radio (Tinchey Stryder recorded the hook for their first single before his voice broke). One of the best tunes on the release is Functions on the Low by one of the crews members, a guy called XTC; it's been called a masterpiece in the guardian, there is a guy trying to sell an original vinyl copy for 400 on Discogs, it's really quite good and it's the only piece of music that XTC ever released before quitting music and fading into obscurity :( You can get the CD for 6 off the HMV website and it's well worth it.

@arials101 sounds interesting. I was impressed with the starkey one though, kept it interesting throughout. Also one track that sounds a bit like Chris Huselbeck's RType theme from the Amiga.

Any recommendations for artists similar to Futurecop! and Flashworx? Instrumental only though, hate the stuff with singing.

I love burial but think my favourite thing that he's released was the collaboration with four tet.

The new Pantha du Prince album (with the Bell Laboratory) is available for streaming now here.

I loved Black Noise so high hopes for this.

4.99 for the new Pantha du Prince if you're looking to buy it after streaming

Spotted it the other day, thought it was probably a bit of a bargain.

What genre would you say this was guys? His music seems to vary quite substantially. A friend recommended it, very easy to listen to.

Anyone heard the new Autechre album yet?

Is it more random noise/glitch or have they finally decided to go back to making something a bit more melodic? Which I personally think has been badly missing from their last three albums...

M83 - Hurry Up We're Dreaming. This is an absolutely kick ass melodic electro futuristic type of album with a french 80s synth vibe. Absolutely fantastic.

The big single was Midnight City

    Mitch Murder time!

He does extremely authentic 80s synth stuff, and he's put together a bunch of free tracks, originals and covers.

    Step to it!

Particular favourite of mine is the cover of the Fashion Show tune from Mr. T's "Be Somebondy (Not Somebody's Fool)".

Bit late to reply on this but it is very much the former. Good luck to you if you can get through the whole thing in one sitting.

It's bloody brilliant to give your full attention to in small chunks though.

    Brap, brap, old chap.
