I bought Episode 1 of TWD last week and was totally surprised by its point and click nature.
Yes, i'd heard about the game and its greatness (im on eurogamer at least 5 times a day every day) but i'd never been that interested to read an in-depth article and i was genuinely expecting a third person Dead Rising type game.

Starting to play EP 1 i thought "wtf is this shit, its just like heavy rain but looks as rough as a bears arse" but i had a great story moment happen the part where i had to choose that bird or the fat bloke in the department store and i thought "hang on a minute, this is a bit good isn't it" and i was slowly sucked in. I completed ep1 and immediately wanted to follow the story.

I then like a fucking muppet went to watch EP 2 on youtube and got 10 minutes into it and turned it off, man was it good. I was aware of TWD sale on the 28th so i decided to hold off for a week and have patience. Im now downloading EP2-5 for the BARGAIN price of 800 points. Yay

So yeahh, TWD was not what i was expecting at all and i wouldn't call it a game as such, more of an interactive story. Its bloody good whatever it is.

I got assassins creed 3 which i was really looking forward to sat unopened here. I think ill finish TWD first. I did really find EP1 very enjoyable but please try no to judge it until you have finished the full episode. I nearly made that mistake.

I would like to say 'thank you!' to those of you who kept persuading us to buy Mark of the Ninja the other week ... it is probably one of the very best games of the year, yet alone one of highlights of the XBLA line-up.

I am not overly fond of sneaky-weaky games, but this is really, truly, utterly superb!

    ... : )

I also blindly purchased all four The Walking Dead episodes this afternoon too.

Is XBL totally down for anyone else? Fucking annoying as I've been away all Christmas I've got all my current game saves on the cloud which I can't access.

XBL is acting silly for me too... Annoying as I'm trying to download TWD episodes 2-5.

    Woohoo just walked my dead

edit: realised I missed Fez tho which makes me sad. Oh well, guess that one will have to wait until it's in another sale, don't really want Fish-boy to have my money anyway.

Thoroughly enjoying Deadlight - 600 ms points, definitely worth it IMO.

    I second that.

LIVE seems to be okay now. It was as trippy as fuck earlier though, it was up & down more than PSN.

Still having problems with Live. Can't access the cloud at the moment, which sucks as that's where all my saves are.

    @Krappers

it's been removed apparently. You can still download all the minigames through Kinect Party though.

If you want instant points to get a deal of the day DO NOT order from Game. Had a nightmare trying to get them to cancel the order as it does not send you a code immediately. Also had issue with Shopto.
Just ended up getting points off live marketplace. Couple of pounds more but Jesus so much easier.
Just bought some more instant points from GAME, had no trouble and just like the other times the code was on the checkout screen.

Picked up The Splatters for a bargain 200msp, seemed rude not to as that's almost free and I've played the demo at least twice, nearly bought it in the past but was saving my MSP for something else.

I'm right in thinking that Crazy Taxi is still a travesty that'll piss all over my memories of the Dreamcast version, even at 200msp, aren't I? I know games sometimes get fixed post-release, but that version was beyond fixing iirc.

Banjo Kazooie N&B is a steal at 9, one of the most underrated games of this console generation imo.

I'll always speak highly of N&B, it was the first game I bought for my 360. Incredibly addictive, I'd spend hours building my vehicles for the challenges. I never once played it online though, I imagine that aspect is well & truly dead now.

I don't think I ever played it online, the vehicle construction side of it kept me busy for ages. It's like having an awesome meccano set where you can take your constructions for a spin. Might have to load it up today actually, haven't played it in a long time.

N&B is one of this generation's hidden gems and is an absolute bargain with today's discount.

For those who bought either Lego Indiana Jones 2 or Lego Batman: How much did you pay? The pricing seems to be all over the place to be honest. I've paid 320 MSP here in Switzerland, it would have been 5 Swiss francs in real money
    /shakes fist!

Each of those titles is 1080 MS Points in the UK, and I think 800 points each in the US.

    Jammy sod!
Just to remind non-UKers: Some of the GoD deals seem to be only 320 MSP for continental europeans. I've just grabbed Nuts and Bolts for that price.

Please don't quote me with "I've just grabbed nuts".

God, I just remembered that Saucer of Peril challenge from the Terrarium of Terror in N&B, trying to get the TT trophy for it almost pushed me over the edge into insanity. In fact, I'm not even sure I got the TT trophy for it. That's the way it always was with Rare games, they'd always look soft & cuddly and easily doable on the surface, but on closer inspection the challenge they offered up would happily send you mental.

Still, a more than worthy purchase in the sale. A second-hand retail copy of N&B would probably sell for the same price or maybe a couple of quid cheaper in the shops nowadays, but actually finding copy...

Shame MS isn't including the LOG's Lost Challenges DLC in the sale as well.

I'm kind of tempted to get The Splatters, but I'd prefer Puddle.

    That nearly broke me.

Think I got the TT trophy after my two-hundredth go though, sorry.

1000msp for Walking Dead and Crazy Taxi is excellent value, very pleased. The former is fantastic, really didn't think it'd be my cup of tea but the plot and characters have me hooked. Can thank offline and EG word of mouth for that one.

    You grabbed what!? ;)

Apparently the GoD pricing and payment options differ per country even - here in Holland the prices are in euros, not points. 320 points is an absolute steal for most of the games on the list. Haven't checked the prices here yet - the daily deals are no longer part of the winter-sales dash (?)
