IGN said it was mediocre. At 400, it might be worth a punt, but I'll pass. If I get a dungeon hack itch I'll just fire up Torchlight.

Damn, I hadn't even heard of Torchlight, now I've had a look at it I'm definitely interested. Going to download the demo later.

No details other than that the season pass is definitely included - don't buy it now!
  • Deleted user 20 December 2012 15:40:15
Will wait. :) it is 2000 normally so hope maybe down to 1200 or something. So will by that then buy the actual game too, I hear that helps.

12 for RDR to sit on your hard drive seems to be a fair enough price, IMO.

So bearing in mind it's pretty much 4pm and Rayman Origins hasn't been discounted can we assume it was a US only deal? Damn shame as all the other deals have been on both sides of the pond.

It's 2400 points, essentially getting one DLC free. I'm expecting it to be about 1600 points when discounted which is still a good deal.

Edit: And definitely Mark Of The Ninja over Trine 2.

All the eurogamers who actually play with each other on xbl rather than just post pseudointellectual pc handwringing bollocks on the forums, love the shit out of biggy.

    Nice. I'm about to buy 2100 + the 200 I have = 2300 - 1600 for borderlands dlc - 600 for mark of the ninja = 100 left over. Almost perfect.

Just checked the dash (rather than through Xbox.com) and Origins is even in the sale section. Anyone know how much it was on GOD previously for 19.99 to constitute a sale price when in the US it's the equivalent of 8.99. I'm really hoping they've just mis priced it and it will come down soon. 9 to have that on the HDD is a bargain.

Getting tempted by Bully for 9 too - anyone got any thoughts on it?

Anyone know any instant code sites? Need points cheap but also now as mark of the ninja full price tomorrow.

Game give you them straight away and seem very reasonably priced. That's where I normally get mine from.

I'm not sure what exactly are the cheapest points, but the ones I went for were here:

    electronicfirst

edit: The above are 4200 points for 29.99.

They are instant email delivery, which I prefer to having things delivered and, well, that I can be found out about basically!

Their 2100 points are 15.99, which I'm sure are cheaper elsewhere.
Used these to stock up on 4200 points the other day. Took a couple of hours to turn up, which seemed a long time for these things, but didn't find any cheaper after a quick half-arsed search.

On subject of sales: I have purchased Fez and Mark Of The Ninja - can't argue with those prices!

Although I don't need it, I'm sorely tempted by Jet Set Radio. Like Fez, it seems rude to point of offensive to ignore something so unique for a measly 400msp, even when I already own it on my Dreamcast.

Off the subject of the current sales: Been playing a little Spelunky and it really is absolutely fucking amazing. The sheer ramdomness of everything is wonderful.

After a couple of days I've started making it onto the fourth world/zone a few times. My jaw dropped when the shortcut guy told me that I need to bring him a gold key from the first Mine Zone - no idea how I'm going to manage that!

The fourth zone looks impossible, but then I've thought that every time I've entered a new Zone.

    Must. Resist. Playing. More.

I also used Electronic First for 4,200msp.

Again, like AccidentProne, it took them a few hours, but that's not really a problem for me. Can't argue with the price.

I ordered last night from them. Still no code as yet :(

They were far quicker last time I used them. Not sure if they have a rush on due to the sales just now, since it did say it might take 24hrs to send them on their site when I ordered.

Normally that is fine but it would need to be immediate today due to the deal. Is it game online that do it instantly? Only one pound more expensive than the above recommended retailer.

As soon as the card transaction is complete you get the code on screen. Don't have to wait for an email.

I used paypal, I thought they emailed you the codes after a while? I'm sure they used to.
  • Deleted user 20 December 2012 16:51:33
Cool, thanks. Will just spend the extra pound to guarantee today.

Rayman Origins is 20 when it's apparently $10 in the US? No sale MS.
    Shame really :(

Maybe that's as it was paypal? I've always got them straight away using a debit card...

@richardiox - I checked the price of Origins last weekend and it was already 24.99 euros (~19.99) then, which it still is now on xbox.com...

Regarding points, I use http://livecheap360codes.com. Not the cheapest, but still very competitive, has paypal, and what I really like: real instant delivery if you're a registered customer - instant as in "before you can switch from your browser to your e-mail" :)
Pricing's in euros though, so not sure about exchange rates etc.

So it's the sales section without any discount. Tempted to email or tweet MS about it.

To be fair, posting in here isn't going to resolve the situation, at least tweeting or emailing them (most likely tweeting) may alert them to the error.

Not a critiscm of anyone, just moaning in a forum versus getting in contact to let them know it isn't right seems like there's only one winner.
