Woke up the other morning, and staggered into the bathroom with the light off to see a large dark shape skittering around the bath. Scared the shit out of me at first. Was one of those large house spiders. I was good though, I didn't squish it or fill the bath, but carried it outside and let it go. With a glass/paper of course; not touching the fucking thing. I could feel it staring at me, just waiting for a gap so it could get out.

    Ahh the Assassin Spider.

The enemy of my enemy is my friend.

Y'know they actually pretend to be trapped in a spiders web to lure bigger spiders out and then creep up behing them to ambush and poison them.

I absolutely love spiders, me. If it wasn't for Mrs. EMarkM being scared witless of them, I'd keep one of every species in the world at home!

Even she thinks blue-kneed tarantulas are cool though!

Has anyone ever gone to, or considered, the friendly spider programme that the London Zoo offers? It's quite pricey at 130 for a single afternoon session, but with an 80% success rate of curing arachnophobia, apparently. Plus you get the chance to get up close and personal with a few specimens.

Yep, they have come over from southern europe, we have them here in Dorset. One lives outside the office front door and eats the house spiders. They can give you a nasty bite and have been know to make some people quite ill and a couple have died.

The only way I would go near any one of those vehicles is with a falmethrower. A big flamethrower.

    Not scary at all

A strange game. The only winning move is not to play.

Aww, wook at his widdle eyes!

Seems to be spider season in my house at the moment. Only those ones with the spindly legs that are too big to fit in my ear, but the things are everywhere I look at the moment.

Cubby didn't know how to turn off sigs!

Got a problem with absolutely massive ones at my house at the moment. They all seem to appear on the same wall in the living room too, which has led me to the theory that there is a giant spiders nest/factory of evil behind the bookcase.
