Pfft, I let her walk first go, totally ignored her the second, and had Mina kill her the third, so I think I had the last word.

She chastised me for my over eager flirtation upon first meeting her but she secretly loved it.

Hmm, funny how quickly my professional demeanour dissolved when waylaid by a woman with a bit of sass.

I rode off into the sunset with her

    and I'm not ashamed.

I'm also very tempted to replay this again...

Fuck Darcy and his grenade spamming arsery. I was enjoying the game up to him.

Use the tower - if you have an EMP use that on the lock, and then badabing, badaboom - either his tower, or the other one.
  • Deleted user 16 September 2012 12:43:13
    Have no emps. : (

    Pick the lock at lightspeed!

Rule #1 of AP: always pack lots of EMPs, and skill up electronics so you can bypass puzzles with them.
  • Deleted user 16 September 2012 12:51:52
From memory that tower door is fairly easy to manually hack anyway. Rarely did I bother with EMP whatsoever tbh, only the ridiculous ones later on in-game so the Darcy fight ought not be too hard.

It's the bit right after that that's the real cunt though....
  • Deleted user 16 September 2012 13:41:05
Fuck this, I'm going to have to go back to the start of the mission then. I've tried picking the lock but it's the only five prong pick I've come up against and it's being a bitch.

I've tried just trying to shoot him but he is a massive bullet sponge cunt.

I usually keep spare EMPs but I used them all up on the previous bit with all the shitting turrets.
  • Deleted user 16 September 2012 14:40:15
Yeah, easy with EMPs. The rest of it was pretty easy too.

For a minute though it was teeth knashingly hard.
  • Deleted user 16 September 2012 14:44:12
    ....and we're done.

Yeah, not bad at all. A flawed gem. Shame we'll never see a sequel.

Now try it again responding differently to the conversations and doing the missions in a different order, the story will unfold differently.

Already got a playthrough planned where I execute everyone straight away. Can't wait to see what happens.
  • Deleted user 17 September 2012 07:45:03
Aye, it's not until the 2nd or maybe 3rd playthrough where you realise quite how impressive the cause/effect dialogue system is.

You've made me want to play it again now :)

Is this available via download cheaper than is on Steam and GreenManGaming ($19.99)? I don't know of any other services besides these 2 (and GoG, but it's not on there)...

Shopto have the download for £11.84. Can't you wait for another sale, though? It's been, like, $3 before! :p

I should get a copy of this now that it's cheap on preowned. Seeing that SEGA didn't give me a copy of it even after spending many months cursing the devs.

Well I've tried to give away an account I have for months and no-one has been interested, which has this on it. You're more than welcome to it :)

    @PenguinJim

Thanks. I managed to get a copy thanks to DFawkes. :)

Is that one for Steam though (sorry if this is a stupid question)? I might get it for my brother.

    Nah, sorry!

I didn't have any problems downloading and playing the Direct2Drive version a few years ago, though, if that's any help.

Although if memory serves, PC newbie Dirtbox never managed to get his copy running. :D

My net struggles to get games downloading at a decent speed through any service other than Steam for some reason. But I might give it a go. Thanks for thinking of me when you saw the offer :)

I don't want to feel his wrath, so I won't laugh at that :p

ITt got shit reviews because at launch it was a buggy mess and even after it has been patched it's still buggy. It's a rough diamond and you have to be willing to look past some glaring flaws to enjoy it.
