I'll try that later. I get him to about half health before him or one of his goons takes me out.

It's the strategy I used in the end, I tried doing it the proper way and you just get killed all the time, it is without a doubt the low point of the entire game that boss fight.

I've just got to him and beaten him first go, without any problems, before checking this thread. Just took cover, threw out the occasional flame grenade, used chainshot twice and the bugger was dead.

Had to use three health packs as he kept coming in for kung-fuing my ass sessions, but otherwise it was all over in about 90 seconds tops.

    Obviously got lucky.

IT depends on how your specced, I was specced almost entirely for stealth which is virtually useless in that fight so it's was a totally bastard for me. The pay off was of course the entire final third of the game was literally a walk in the park and the final boss fight I just walked up to the room and use chain shot and it was all over.

I'm a stealth / soldier hybrid. Unfortunately I went into this badly kitted out. I also havent invested much in endurance, so I can only just sprint away from his frenzied knife attacks.

I went for a stealth/pistol spec, which worked great - don't get me wrong, I did almost die, but a chain shot, some frantic running away, a little Shadow Operative as I healed then a chain shot did it without much trouble except the almost dying part ;)

Without chain shot I think I'd have died many times and just gave up. I love chain shot.

I've got a Stealth build. 3/4 stealth (so I only had 2 chain shots), full Tech Apt, five in pistols. Piece. Of. Piss! ;o)

Finished the game this morning. Dealing with Darcy was probably the hardest bit. I found a glitch position where I could shoot him but he couldn't shoot me - Brako style.

Overall I thoroughly enjoyed it. I thought the game was really well paced. The action was a little shonky at times. I couldn't help but imagine what a Bond game might be like built this way - fucking great I think. Also - splinter cell action combined with Alpha Protocol RPG = greatest game ever.

Now go out there and do your civic duty and everyone you know to play it.

I'm actually considering actively cutting Obsidian a check.

I actually did an entire playthrough as a Burn Notice: The Game type thign and it was hugely satisfying, especially as he is called Mike.

Just finished on Hard, Recruit. Was really hard at points, mainly due to enemy firepower.

Now playing as a Vet. Much, much more fun!

Story was so different - so many tiny details and background info revealed differently from before. It's like it's actually... a real story!

Are the ps3 and xbox version exactly the same? They only have a ps3 copy left in the shop

Yet Skyrim sold millions of units and this will never get a polished sequel :(

    @kentmonkey

Thanks for the offer mate. I found it on the 360 for £3.00 in the end. Had a go for a couple of hours last night. Really enjoying it so far

Remember playing it through differently a second time is where you'll notice the main difference between this game and every other game you have ever played.

Just to think if it wasnt for this thread I wouldnt even of given it a look in. So a big thank you to everyone who has recomended it

Finally got round to picking this up.

I really like it. Janky for sure but it's got a lot of charm.

Lots of flaws but the story develops depending on how you play and how you respond to the people in it. And yes you can score with the hot women in this, if you try.

It helps that I'm already conditioned to expect it to be unpolished so I can get on with appreciating what's there.

Not so bothered about pursuing women in it, I'd feel rather uneasy chatting up virtual girls when my girlfriend is looking on. Keeping it professional with the occasional joke.

Actually as memory serves there is one that you can score with by doing that.

Just remember it has flaws and try concentrate on the stuff it does well, like how the story develops and you'll have a blast.

It's such a great game! I had to tear myself away from it after completing it three times in a row, and every time I see this thread bumped I feel like digging it out again. To be honest I don't think it's particularly flawed; sure, the first chapter is a bit rough and some of the skills are pretty unbalanced, but surely that's something that could be fixed in a sequel... pretty please?

The writing in this is fantastic. Absolutely loving the different replies over email.

I actually feel like every little thing I do impacts meaningfully on the story and in a much more organic fashion than pretty much every other game I've played.

    Love it.

Scarlet Lake is probably the hottest game character I've seen.
