All my music is now on my PS3 and the PC is gone now.

So, using just the PS3 (it's a 60GB one with the card readers btw), what music player can I use to sync or otherwise copy MP3 music to?

If it's a phone as well, fine. I'd rather not buy a PSP to do this as it's a little big and delicate. Although if anyone knows that a PSP does this please let me know.

    Anyone?

You can copy music from the PS3 to the Sony Ericsson W810i by putting the memory card in the front or by USB.

It only comes with a 512mb memory card but as it's Pro Duo you can get them in 1,2,4,8 and 16gb sizes. 2gb are around 15 on play.com and 4gb are around 30. I don't know about other sizes.

works with most phones i know that use cards, mp3 players are a complete mixed bag though, even most sony ones dont work, some simply are nt recognised and others will only act like a usb storage device, tunes can be copied but not played!!
i eventually found a sony one that worked fine and many of the cheap players do.

Well, I've got a working one!

Sony Ericsson W580i from Argos (Pay as you go Orange branded for 100), took it to the phone-shop and got is unlocked and debranded using something like that in the link. Some shop'll sell you it for less, but will make you register (and put money on) the sim-card. Orange had it in the colour I wanted too :D

Don't know if you know this, but Orange brutally modify the firmsware and cut off features, as well as turning features towards their own 'shops' for things like songs, ringtones etc. Get it debranded and gett everything Sony created for it.

I can now plug in my phone to my PS3, and copy tracks to/from the phone's built-in walkman.

So if you was wondering how to do it, this is one way.

Check the screen on your phone, does it ask you what mode to set (Phone mode of file mode) when you connect it to your PS3?

Is the phone locked to one particular company like mine was? Maybe a firmware flash'll unlock something the phone provider disabled?

Not everybody keeps their PC running 24/7.

The PS3 *IS* the Media Center. Re-read the first post disc, there is no PC in the house now.

My Zen Vision M isn't recognised by my PS3. I wish it was because I tend to use the PS3 to rip CDs...

I suspect the it would recognise the SD slot in the latest Zen but anything on the card isn't intergrated into the main media library.

PS3 compatibilty would definitely be something I'm looking for in my next MP3 player though there's always a chance the PS3 itself might be updated.
