Definitely. Truly the lowest ebb of a desperate man. Great TV but utterly chilling.

Registered 8 years agoFinally caught up to the current episode.
I thought the fact you see Lane as as a dead body (not often seen in films or TV) really hit home. -

Man, the last two episodes have been dark. -

Registered 7 years agoJust caught up with this weeks episode, as other have said that was brilliantly done and emotionally draining.
I think the Megan / Betty and Sally story was also great this week. I'm not really a fan of January Jones but I think she played those scenes really well. -

Registered 8 years agoYeah, though I thought the episode as a whole was a bit disappointing. Interesting to see the change in Megan, from head-strong and confident to miserable as she realizes that she's not amazing at everything, and she won't just get things cos she wants them. I think that's killed the magic for Don. -

Hard to top last week's climactic episode but still enjoyed the wrap up feel to the finale.
Lol at the two dogs shagging outside the window. Loved the use of Bond music.
Now I am gagging for a cigarette though! -

Registered 10 years agoMatthew Weiner has confirmed there will be a season this year, and that there's 26 episodes left altogether (so two seasons presumably).

A relief it's coming this year, although presumably not for quite some time if they haven't even started on it yet. -

Registered 10 years ago\o/ They tend to make and then air shows pretty quickly in the US I think, they don't wait for the whole season to have finished like we do. So we might see something pretty quickly - though assume they would avoid the summer -

Registered 6 years agoHoping that Sky Alantic will be available on Virgin by the time the new series rolls along (or, even better, Mad Men be broadcast on sky1 instead). Would certainly give them more viewing figures, but I can't see it happening
. Will probably end up waiting for the blu ray release. Mad Men is one of the very few shows/films that simply must be watched in HD.
Currently working my way through series 5 on blu ray. I was worried we'd see a drop in quality this many episodes in but, if anything, I think the quality has gone up slightly from the (slightly) disappointing 4th series.
Just watched the episode where Don "kills" his old flame, Andrea. I could tell something was off, and even suspected part of it was pure fantasy, but it definitely shocked the hell out of me. Fantastic episode that one

Registered 10 years agoSky Atlantic will never come to Virgin I don't think. They invented the channel because they lost the case for Sky 1 being on Virgin, so they stuck all the good shows on Atlantic instead. -

Registered 6 years ago@kalel I accept that, I realise it's largely hopless. They could lose another case though!
A big shame, as there's nothing else at all on sky alantic that interests me in the slightest.

Registered 10 years agoIThe whole thing that the deal Sky did with Virgin included Sky 1, which they then removed after a dispute. Virgin managed to get it back through legal wrangling.
Atlantic however has been designed to be exclusive to Sky and Virgin have no claim to it whatsoever. It's not coming to Virgin basically.
It's pretty much the only thing that keeps me on Sky to be honest. Nearly every show I watch is on Atlantic - Boardwalk Empire, Girls, Game of Thrones, Mad Men - everything on Sky 1 is shit like Stella. -

Registered 10 years agoSame here. If Netflix US ever got HBO stuff (Which I know it won't as they have their own), I'd be very tempted to bin Sky entirely. Just the small matter of the football... -

Registered 6 years ago@kalel Yeh fair enough. I wouldn't dream of ever switching to sky anyway, for a multitude of reasons, but I certainly won't switch for the sake of one show. And I think we've always known sky1 is only good for repeats of The Simpsons/Futurama anyway!
EDIT: @Dougs, at the risk of turning this post even more off-topic, you can get skysports (well 1 and 2, which has all the footy) on every other platform apart from sky.gif)
