Oh ok. I'll be out on blu ray probably in about six months.
I can't tell whether or not you're being facetious or not Kalel :D

Maybe I should do a better job of explaining exactly what I'm asking:

Some of the shows I follow such as Spartacus and Justified, have torrents for standard def, then HD versions come out a few hours later - I was just wondering whether anyone knew this to be the case for Mad Men also, cheers.
Short answer is they're already available. Look harder or use sickbeard.

    Thanks Mike.

I never liked Alison Brie in it (I just find her character so damn annoying), despite the fact I love her in Community.

    Just finished Season 4 again.

There's a weird meta moment when Megan is talking about how her teeth stop her being able to be an actress. Although I'm assuming those are fake teeth for the role. No American actress wouldn't get her teeth fixed if they really looked like that.

Spoilered this because I have no idea if this is supposed to be the UK or the US pace thread. Can't seem to find a season 5 US pace thread.

Can anyone tell me the significance of that statue / artifact at the end of the episode?

Also, have they changed the actress who plays Pete's wife, or is it just so long since I've watched it that I've forgotten her face?

Annie's "Boopy Doopy Doo Boop SEX!" in Community was far hotter than that song in Mad Men.

The cleaning on the other hand was another matter entirely.

Good start to the season though, I wasn't really sure what to expect.

I enjoyed that: the second hour more so than the first. Felt a bit weird seeing everyone again.

Quite enjoyed it, did seem to lack a little bit of spark for me though. I'm sure it will get back into it's stride soon.

They always seem a bit flat at the start of a new series. Better to slowly submerge than dunk you in the deep end like 24 or Lost or whatever does. May not be initially as gripping but in the end it's more rewarding.

I thought the adverts last night on Sky were a genius touch. Inspired.

They used genuine 1960s adverts, but it was for products that still exist today, so they obviously contacted companies that had been around since then and told them what they were doing. So it was Fairy Liquid. Milk Tray, VW. They even had an old American Pringles ad from the 60s.

Anyone else think it was a bit weird how they didn't mention how Cooper ended up back in the agency? He did walk out in the last series.

Seems like so long since the last season, I can hardly remember anything.
  • Deleted user 28 March 2012 15:31:13
No doubt I'll be watching this in a years time, when the DVD comes out. They should give the option to say pay for the whole series up front, it's better then paying nothing but watching one episode a week. Anything would be better then waiting months on end for the DVD or watching on a crappy torrent.

The other alternative is to have Sky.
  • Deleted user 28 March 2012 15:34:32
Aye but for me thats not worth the price.
  • Deleted user 28 March 2012 15:36:11
Well, you have a pretty cohesive set of options nevertheless.

Get it legally now for lots of money.

Get it legally later for less money.

Steal it now for no money.

I thought this was a cracking start to the new series. So much festering resentment and passive aggressive snipes between the characters. And I liked the neat little touches like the shot of Peggy holding Joan's baby next to Pete. I thought Megan was awesome. And I want Don's new apartment.
