My brother just shat blood. Anyone knows what that means? In his words it was 'a shot glass worth' at the end of his business.

...and before you ask, I haven't bummed him, he's not a bummer, and his girlfriend claims she hasn't been sticking anything up his arse.

There are other threads on this if you want to read pages of speculation on what it might be, but seriously, just go to A&E right now.

Did the blood look fresh (i.e. bright red) or not so fresh?

If it's red blood it's most likely a tear or cut or something. If it has the consistency of coffee granules, it's been sitting there for a while and is (usually) indicative of something bad.

Either way, go to a doctor.

This is a very important question. If it was a horrible dirty blood. He needs to sort this shit out. If it's bright red, it's probably an anal tear and the only thing you need to worry about is the fact your brother is a gheyer.

Or maybe he just needs to eat more fibre :D But that's less scandalous.

I think the good Dr has this one spot on though, that's exactly what it sounds like.

The toughest part of recovering from an anal bleed is trying to repair the relationships affected by your gayness.

    I wish 'your brother' luck.

Ignore all the scare mongering it might be something and nothing. I had a similar problem and went and had the whole sigmoidoscopy (Camera up the arse) and there was nothing out of the ordinary. I then went to a different doctor (an older experienced guy) who just said, aaah you've probably just got some inflammation - try these suppositories and they worked a treat.

Meaning, I didn't need to get fucking violated by Micheal Winner.

Wow at all the A&E suggestions. No wonder people have to wait when they have their brains coming out of their heads or are missing an arm because of an accident.

Blatantly sounds like Hemorrhoids. They'll clear up in a few days. No need for hospital.

A lot of A&E staff think that their workload has increased since NHS Direct started. People who normally wouldn't even bother doing anything now think "oh, I'll just give NHS Direct a call, just to be on the safe side", and they then get sent to A&E for a headache because the nurse on the other end of the phone doesn't want to be the one that misses someone having a stroke.

Great for the one stroke victim, terrible for the ninety nine headaches.

Probably not if he didn't get in it first.

I'm sure I remember someone posting on this forum that they were worried after seeing blood in their shit, went to the doctor who couldn't find anything wrong, then realised they'd eaten a load of beetroot a couple of days before which had caused their shit to turn red :-)

I remember that. That was a good day.

Seriously though, I heard, that it very much depends on the freshness of the blood.

book in to see you GP and let him (of her if your lucky) poke your brown star.
