Registered 9 years agoSorry yupyup - genuinely just deleted my post, and then immediately after saw you'd posted on the refresh. Thanks for the best wishes - just decided my original post wasn't the best idea. But your reply is awesome. Thanks mate. -

Registered 7 years agoWell. After suffering from terrible stomach pains for quite a while now I went into A&E. After various xrays and CT scans over the last couple of weeks I have been diagnosed with cancer. Specifically a type of testicular cancer. First step was to remove the suspicious gonad. Which has now been done. However it is not a typical presentation so I am waiting on test results before they decide on which type of chemo will work best for me. I have seminoma from the biopsy that has come back. If it stays that way I am told it is very treatable so fingers crossed.
Not sure why I am posting this here really. But I do consider this place a home from home and well....that's it really.FCUTA!

Registered 4 years agoOh no, that's a big scare right there
I wondered where you had gone. Very sorry to hear the news, but yes, it's a good one if you are going to have one, in terms of treatment / survival. All the best with the further tests and treatment. Hope it's all over soon. Playing all the right notes— but not necessarily in the right order.

Registered 7 years agoThat's sobering! Good that it's treatable so far. Mace it, Jonsaan.
I remember there was some talk a few years back about the cancer-beating properties of a fresh fruit 'n' veg diet. Is that still doing the rounds or have things changed since then?ツ

Registered 8 years agoSorry to hear that Jonsaan. If I was going to have to get any sort of cancer I would probably choose testicular cancer. Great survival rates and responds really well to chemo generally. Good luck with your upcoming treatment.
best wishes. -
Sorry to hear it fella. As others have said, kick that stupid cancer's arse.
