    Some blog

I highly recommend picking this mag up for this, the Gioteck website is down and I can't seem to find them anywhere to buy online. They really change the feel of the PS3 controller, it feels quite a bit more comfortable and the triggers feel like triggers.

I picked up a copy of the mag from WHSmith, seemed to be the last one too.

    Fixed ;)

I'm quite tempted to pick this up. Whoever decided to make them convex needs a bloody good slap, they really do.

Yes they do feel a lot better but I still removed them immediatelly. Something about having some third party attachment on the pad just doesn't sit right; and they could have done with a prettier bottom :o

Function wise though they are great, the triggers should have been that shape in the first instance.

Got given some of these. A little annoying for general use, but a real plus for games that use the triggers a lot. I'm keeping them on I think.

You'd rather it feel worse but look better? lolwut?

@Retroid - I actually prefer the squishiness of the PS3 triggers to the 360 ones, it's been ages since I played a Dreamcast so I can't remeber those.

I hate the fact they are even triggers, Dualshock 2 > Sixaxis/DS3

Awesome! That is the biggest downside to the PS3.

I got about 4 diffrent controllers at home, I was hoping for something better than the orig. siaxis, but it was all by far worst than the siaxis. This could be the rscue!

Yeah weird innit. I tried them out then thought 'they work great', swiftly followed by 'they look a bit shit'. And off they came. /shrug

    Meh! :)

I just don't understand why they went from 'buttons' on the DS2 to, well, what they've done to the PS3 pad(s).

I don't like them, personally. They seem too elevated to me, meaning I have to stretch my fingers out a bit more to use them, which is irritating. They also have rather sharp corners on the bottom, which scratch against my hands when I'm not using them. I could see me attaching them for racing games, but other than that I think the normal triggers are more comfortable.

Where get I got one of these magazine things of which you speak? Are they a bit like the internet only on paper?

PSM3 Magazine have them 'free' this month, I reckon they're pretty damned excellent.

I got them thanks to cthulhu_steev's recommendation in the Burnout thread; they're aces.

I'm tempted to buy another copy of the mag for another pair for my potential second controller.

Dear God, that'd total 10 for a few bits of plastic :o

Gioteck (as noted) have their site 'under construction' so I expect they'll be selling them soon. I don't believe you'll get much change out of a fiver if they do sell them through anyway and PSM3 supplies some amusement, it sometimes reminds me of ZERO Magazine.

Nothing will ever be as good as Zero Magazine for videogame funnies, NGamer comes close though.

These are indeed quite nifty. PSW gave some away a few months ago.

Hehey, bought the (shite) mag today for the free triggers. Feel surprisingly good, especially in Burnout. Why on earth Paradise doesn't allow configurable controls is beyond me, holding down the triggers was previously an absolute arse for long periods.
  • Deleted user 29 February 2008 17:47:36
You'll soon be able to buy them for $10, they come free with controller armourlol, you might as well buy the magazine.

Thanks mates for the heads up!!

I likewise bought the magazine I dont normally buy just for the triggers and indeed make my DualShock3 pretty more complete a gamepad, racing feel so much more better! I will see if its feel as good when doing DMC4 or general use.

Does anyone fancy selling a set of these to lil' ol' me?

There are some being released for around a fiver (from Amazon.com) in a few weeks, but I can't wait for that long.

I still don't like them. They sit on my TV cabinet thing unused and unloved.
