Yeah, not fond of barcode tatts. I'm not a library book.

    I know nothing about tattoos.

Did he do that freehand, or does he draw lines on your arm with a ruler, or put some sort of transfer down to follow?

I couldn't draw a straight line, freehand on a piece of paper with a pencil, let alone on someone's arm with a needle!

They tend to use thermal stencils, so a transfer to follow basically. A copy of whatever you bring in, all blue on you, and they tattoo over it.

As above, he downloaded the pic from the web (the same one as posted on the previous page), took the words off, resized it to fit, printed it, stenciled it and positioned it on my arm... then outlined the bars and filled them. Took about 70 minutes start to finish.

That'd be good... I went to see Strung Out a couple of years ago wearing that shirt and ended up chatting to Rob Ramos cos he had the same shirt on. :D

Had this done about 7 years ago I think. Still like it.

However this was only done a year ago, it looked awesome for about a week then quickly faded. Shit tatooist, need it recoloured soon by the guy who did the first.

    Fnar fnar,
I need inspiration (and probably some more money) for my next tattoo. I really need another one but really don't know what to get done.

    Whassamattayou, whyoulookasosad, itsanicaplace, itsanotsobad, heyshaddupayourface.

Thinking about getting another one (got a robot on my foot for christmas, thanks to Dirtbox with assisting in the design. Don't have a pic yet but will post one later maybe).

So, for some reason I have it in my head that I want a picture of a t-rex flying a kite, with his stupid little stubby hands. On my lower back.

That idea sounds like it could work quite well, pete. Sure about the lower back though?

I'm thinking about getting my first tattoo soon but no idea what to have done yet.
Probably just mainly black and not massive. Been looking at loads of tattoo pics recently but still not set my mind on anything.
Would like something to remind myself of these years so I can look back on it with fond memory. Also something that not everyone would understand.

That's easy L_Franko I would go with a shark leaping out of the water shooting a missile from its mouth at Osama piloting in the Red Baron's WW1 plane.

With the words "Don't fuck with Alabama" at the bottom.

    Start simple is my motto.

It would kind of have to be on my lower back I think, with the t-rex on the right side of my spine above my waistline, and the little kite over towards the left

I'm going to get a tiny tattoo of Arnie on my spine saying 'I'll be back'. (I'm not, but someone should.)

After a few years the H could be construed as an M, then he's in trouble.

I just got a tattoo yesterday and I'm actually worried about how little it is hurting and how little my skin seems to be showing any irritation.

I can barely feel any tenderness, and there is only the slightest red patch on and around the tattoo.

Should I be "healing" this quickly? Am I... Wolverine?

No, that's normal. It's only red/tender for the first hour(s) following the needle. The tattoo itself will be raised until it flakes, and then it's just normal skin again.

It's called the 'walking dead' phase, 3 days post tattoo. After 3 days it's blinding pain and you will screaming for morphine.

I searched for any general tattoo threads and couldn't find any ;)

But since you mentioned it :)

The lines are very sharp, but this photo is blurry...
