Idealy you would take out Morgan by firing a super sonic McKenzie at him. I am not sure who would die first but I would love to see Mythbusters test it out.

Registered 10 years agoIllegal?
Hain seems to think having the BNP on question time is illegal because the party is illegal as it only allows white members.
Thought they changed that wonderous policy?Come and get it cumslingers!

Like that's his only crime. I've read a whole book about the shit he pulled whilst at The Sun (Stick It Up Your Punter). He really is an insipid cunt.

Registered 10 years agoHow did Peter Hain have the nerve last night, to criticise David Cameron for 'going back on his promise to hold a referendum'? He wasn't in power! Brown & Blair were!
And after his 'Griffin shouldn't have been allowed on QT - I'm all for free speech except the speech that I don't agree with'...
Obnoxious man.
Thought the comedian/journo lady made an excellent point about MPs salaries though :
"The idea that you pay peanuts and get monkeys, and the converse suggestion that you pay a lot of money and get genius's doesn't pan out. If that were the case, why did the banking industry need my money?"

Registered 7 years agoIt was a strange one last night with no elected member of either the Lib Dems or Labour and only John Redwood from the Conservatives. -
What was that? A runner up on the Apprentice (and a sociopathic one at that) was a bloody candidate in the Euro elections?
-
Some good points re US rhetoric here and the behaviour of US companies. Shame the UK gov doesn't make the same points.

My mate fucked her over a washing machine once. Well before the apprentice. He's not fussy. -
You realise that I will use that little fact in the next series of The Apprentice as "some bloke said on the internet that..." when I've had a pint too many down the pub on a Friday lunchtime.

Having said that the first speaker doesn't seem to understand that in pure immediate financial terms not paying a salary will save you money, even balanced against lost tax and new benefit payments. -
Has anyone actually answered a question yet, or are they all going to sit around blaming each other and dragging up the past?

Registered 7 years agoThat Tory guy is really pushing the fear button: "If we don't make these cuts you'll all lose your jobs!".
And I'm still incandescent about Osborne's off-shore trust - is that definitely true? The only references I've found online are defiantly left-wing. -
Is there a reason why the £6 billion Vodafone tax loophole wasn't closed?
It seems to be a complete logic fail to not close that, instead choosing to make 490,000 public sector workers redundant and save £7 billion. -
Oh God, I hope what Toynbee just said about Conservative MPs shouting "MORE, MORE!" during Osborne's speech isn't true.

By the way: Jeepers, what was the book you mentioned in the other thread? Sounded interesting.

Thanks X201. I'll hunt it out. Shameful if it's true.

Hmm... I can't remember! There's Naomi Klein's Shock Doctrine, which is interesting about disaster capitalism, which seems relevant to the recent cuts. Stiglitz wrote Globalisation and its Discontents which covers a similar topic in (much) more detail. Was it either of those?
