Per the reviews on EG I'm going for Fifa after years of Pro Evo (doesnt seem to be massive changes between PES 6 and PES 08 other than its even easier to score)

Am I making a big mistake?

Maybe. I dunno, it's tough this year. I'm a massive PES fan, but since PES5 the series has gone down hill. There's a lot about FIFA I don't like, and I do think FIFA 08 is over-rated, but is PES2008 any better? I'm not sure of that, either. I've ended up playing either very much, which is quite sad.

93... lol... Did you count them all. :D

This time out, FIFA Takes it, but It still has it's flaws. PES 08 just didn't cut the mustard for me, it seems as if no effor went into improving the game from the previos lot.

I'm a pes person (no, not a candy dispenser with a hinged head) and I've gone for Fifa 08 this year.

It plays an absolute treat. Ball physics are nice, the players actually feel like they're kicking the ball, and you get acurate deflections, scuffs, spooners, air kicks etc. I don't remember the last Fifa where your player could do an air kick. Having a lot of fun with it. It just feels right.

Playing 5v5 online in Fifa with some decent players is the closest any of you lot will get to participating in a Premier League footy match right now.

    Bollocks.

PES 2008 is the best version of Pro evo, and so the best playable football game ever.

It should have been better, but still an improvement over previous years.

Fifa has improved alot, but Pro Evo still offers much more enjoyment IMO.

What the fuck? FIFA has been completely re-written, with an entirely new engine, built from the ground up.

Your comment couldn't be more wrong. EA are offering a completely new football game for the first time in years, that can be played 100% manually, without any form of assisting with regards to passing & shooting.

I'd like to read a Stevas review of 08.

You seem to be insinuating that you will get closer... No?

Lets have a Guess Who Competition...
