I humbly offer the Fruit Salad as the best sweet ever.

I will agree with that, no danger. What were the other ones called, like Fruit Salads but not orange, like green lime favour. Those were awesome. Black jacks were not as nice, and made your mouth all black.

    i agree..

mmm... Fruit Salads. Mouth watering goodness. The pennychew (probably 5p now) versions are the nicest, not those chewit sized packets where the paper stuck to them.

    Mmm...

They had sour apple ones as well, grand stuff!

Rhubarb and custard boiled sweets, toasted teacakes, and those (much maligned) pink shrimp things were my usual pick of the pic n' mix counter.

Oh, and jelly crocodiles that were jelly on the top and white foam underneath, nom nom nom.

I have a masochistic love for those tiny, rock hard yet chewy 'lips' that taste like soap.

I think they're called cherry lips but they sure as fuck don't taste like cherry. The good thing about them is that a quarter lasts about a week.

Just tried a pack of the the new WHAM chews (only released today according to shopkeeper). Save your money, they're really shit; no crystals or any fizz. Must be the lure of new stuff, but he said it was probably his most popular item of the day.

Best thing about the old Wham bars, leaving them in your pocket until they were bendy!

Give yourself 5 or gig, you're worth it.

I've been addicted to Wine Gums for the last 6 months. I swear I buy at least a pack every week at the moment.

As far back as I can remember I always wanted to be a ninja.

Shrimps. The foamy pink ones, not the sea dwelling type

They're not real shrimps. They're imposter shrimps. The old shrimps weren't foamy, and they tasted better.

I've been very disappointed sweets wise recently. I want some Reisens but I think they might knacker my teeth completely.

I always like Merry Maids, they were like chocolate covered toffee / caramel.
