Question: The qualifying for the 2010 Africa Cup of Nations was also the qualifying for the 2010 FIFA World Cup.

So if Togo are banned from participating in upcoming compmetitions, and presumably their qualificatio rounds, does this also mean that they'll be denied a chance to qualify for the 2014 WC?

    Understatement of the year!!!

Seriously, as much as I understand authorities taking a dim view of governments getting involved in football affairs, there has to be some common sense applied. This was a very unique situation, I certainly can't remember anything similar. The ban is totally unjust, some common sense should really be applied.

This is being shown on British Eurosport.

Equatorial Guinea have just took the lead with three minutes to go in the opening match. Also there's no Vuvuzelas.

Senegal look crap, it'll be nice if there is two upsets in a row.

British Eurosport? Awesome. I can't wait for Tuesday when my fatherland destroys Mali. We'll make the Malians? Malinese? The guys from Mali cry.

Looks like the games tonight won't go ahead due to a waterlogged pitch after heavy rain. I hope this doesn't void my free bet with Sky I had on one of the matches.

To put that result into perspective, Senegal are over 100 places higher in the FIFA world rankings.

This African Cup of Nations has been absolutely cracking, best international tournament I've watched since Euro 2004.

Half the games have been as dramatic as they possibly can be :D

Zambia v Ivory Coast in the final, neither side have conceded a goal in the tournament, doesn't bode well.

The tournament has gradually become less entertaining, contrary to what I said a few posts up.

The Team of Destiny are 6/1 to win. Tempting.

ITV4, yes. 7.30 kickoff. Could be a corker.

A strange game. The only winning move is not to play.
