I'm very excited. Done all of the missions and have a nice $10 discount for the bundle which is due to be announced at midnight.

Sorry, was a bit worried that I might be accused of spamming something.

    Here it is

Basically, there are a series of five or so puzzle type missions which reward you with free software. The whole thing culminates with a bundle of indie software for $50 - normally worth many times this and a large percentage of the profits go to charity.

The Lives of Nobody Important Paperback

I just looked at Mission 4, which is the only one available, and have absolutely no idea what the blithering hell they're wittering on about. Bit late for me to decipher cryptic clues based on cryptic instructions! Looks like one of those things 8 year old girls fold together into some sort of handheld paper game thing.

What do the locks on some of the apps mean??

Okay, so they unlock when they've sold 5000 copies. Bit annoying that since they'd probably sell more if people could use the apps right away.
Bought it since I wanted to buy AppZap and CSS edit anyway so now just hoping people start shopping.

Also I'm so new to mac I find it's a bit of a fanboy purchase! ;)

Thanks - God, the formatting of that is entirely fucked in IE6! :(

Was looking for links to all the apps to see what they're about but can't find them... *sigh*

    Lazy me. :)

So can you tell me anything about the apps? The only one I know is World of Goo (which I didn't like at all)...

Can't say there's much in this year's bundle to make it a must buy, i think almost all of those apps bar world of goo would go unused.

PSN: Glendemic Xbox: Gl3n Steam: Gl3n

Acorn seems quite good as does iSale.
Only had a quick try as I'm working.

    Really want Espresso though.
  • Deleted user 25 March 2009 18:10:06
What do you mean by waiting to be unlocked?
  • Deleted user 25 March 2009 18:12:06
    Wait s'ok I'm watching the vid :)
  • Deleted user 26 March 2009 00:33:35
Don't want any of those mostly frivolous 'done-better-elsewhere' apps. Granted there's some proper quality in there (Goo, Wiretap, ... um...) but I've already got those. Ah well! Good price I suppose if you don't have anything that does the stuff the other apps purport to do! :)

I just want a bundle to give me Scrivener and Papers.

Would make alot of students happy...
  • Deleted user 26 March 2009 00:40:40
Papers is on iPhone now, isn't it? Saw something about it the other day, was hoping it was something that consolidated the days newspapers or something, but it's some academic paper thingy. Pffft. Studentslol etc.
  • Deleted user 26 March 2009 00:49:21
Very tempted by this as I want WoG, but I'm finding myself trying to convince myself that I may 'need' the other things when I just don't.
  • Deleted user 26 March 2009 01:04:06
Well how much is the bundle? And what else in the bundle do you definitely want/need and what in there are you thinking "Don't need this at all but there's a slim chance I might be able to find some convoluted reason that I might need it one day"?

Personally I think you should just go buy World Of Goo. It's about £12, if that, and they'll get all the money, instead of like 50p or whatever that they're getting from this deal.

I have picked it up too, I was going to get wiretap at some point anyway. Goo looks interesting. Some of my friends have picturesque and say it is fantastic.
