It's a common problem when old games get ported, I don't recall it ever getting patched out in prior offending cases.
It's trying to handle audio as the PS2 did but their solution isn't quite 100% right, audio is notoriously tricky, with graphics it's plain to see it's screwed up audio glitches are always the ones that get through in 'remasterings'.
The most insignificant changes in timing can make something like Parappa the Rapper very difficult to play. That's my excuse for why I'm so terrible, it's the PS2's fault! I'm sticking with it.
