It was becoming a tad repetitive so I put it on the back burner while playing through some PSP & DS JRPGs. I'm getting back into P4 now with the intention to get it finished before Persona 3 Portable arrives. -

Registered 7 years agoIndeed good man - I'm doing the same - currently around hour 40ish and have rescued Naoto about two weeks early, so just maxing social links at the mo. Also scored top of the mid terms in October \o/
How much more have I got to do? Not asking in a "wish it would end" way, far from it. Just curious really.
I would say overall it's probably not as good as Persona 3, but in my eyes nothing is really, and this is still better than pretty much everything I've played this gen too.

Registered 6 years agoI played Persona 4 before 3 and I prefer 4 over 3 due to the battle system alone and I loved the story and characters in P4. Really want P5 I have a feeling it will be the series' peak

Registered 7 years agoYeah the battle system is definitely better in P4 - this overall at the moment I prefer the characters and story of 3 but the latter of that could change by the end of course

Registered 4 years agoI think I enjoyed P3 fes better than P4, I know there were a lot of improvements in 4 but some of those changes within the combat system didn't really bother me at all in 3.
P4's characters are definitely more charming for me though, and the pacing and schedules are better, I'm probably in the minority that likes Tartarus over the dungeon designs in P4, mostly to do with a few small differences like free warp, easier to explore and skip floors, free mp refill, more midbosses to fight, fatigue and death always try to rush you to get to the top, etc, all of them makes P3 a bit more unique to me. Oh and I prefer Elizabeth more mostly because I could get all the quests from her. -
