This doesn't even deserve an answer. COD4 has a far superior singleplayer mode with a story i actually understand. And the best multiplayer i have ever seen in a game.

BTW I am not commenting on which game is better as I haven't yet played COD4, and probably won't for a while as Mass Effect and then Eternal Sonata (and then Disgaea on PSP) will be taking up my time. -

Registered 7 years agoCOD 4 is superior in just about every way, Halo has a nice match making system but to be honest the MP just didnt do it for me at all.

I have played Halo 3 way way more than COD4
I have played Halo 3 through several times, once on own, once on split screen, once in four play co-op.
I have played Halo 3 loads online.
I have played Halo 3 with EGers online in custom games loads.
Come to think of it I haven't even played COD4 since it came out.
It has to be Halo 3 for me until I get COD4 at the very least, if not before.Don't make me angry. You wouldn't like me when I'm angry.

COD4's campaign left me cold, and the online was just standard fare. At least in Halo 3 I could invent my own modes and maps! -

Registered 8 years agoI preferred the single player campaign in Halo 3, but as far as online goes I'll pick COD4, which is eating up more of my time than any other game since HALO 2. I just hope they hurry it along with the 'host migration' patch.
