You cant imagine rearing horses would be cheaper than rearing cows, unless you are stealing them straight out of a pikeys field.
I think it will be those horses you see knocking about housing schemes in Ireland.

Can they not just rebrand them as a premium product and ship them to France? They're missing a trick here.

Cheap mince does not taste of much in my experience so I can see people not noticing as long as it has a meaty texture.

I dunno about that. You can taste the cow in a decent burger.

Although, to be fair, in a frozen lasagne, everything else will overpower it to the point that its just protein.

See that "decent" word, we're not talking about "decent" products.

Yeah would Findus come under the category of decent food? Who even eats stuff like that these days? What is it the 1970's? I can only imagine it must be very cheap and that is why it still has a market.

I had a crispy pancake a few months ago for the first time in maybe 15 years and I genuinely couldnt believe I used to eat that shit. They are absolutely vile.

Although, thinking about it, that may have been due to the high horse and pigs anus content.

My family did used to eat this type of thing when I was growing up but they were simpler times. I have not had anything really like this for probably 30 years.

The one exception being Vesta beef risotto which I love though it's tricky to find anywhere that sells it now. Of course Vesta stuff never had any meat in it anyway.

I still think this whole horse meat saga is a fabrication by Linda McCartney. Notice the amount of ads lately for her hippy food. Fucking Linda!!

Thankfully no. It was served with oven chips and sweetcorn so the plateful of yellow looked so unapetising, I pushed it round with a fork until it cooled down.

@sport I never liked her. I wonder if it's a secret clan of quorn ninjas going around trying to discredit meaty products?

I can't wait to see if trading standards or the like slap all the companies with massive fines for mislabelling their products.

Rowan Atkinson’s crashed McLaren F1 has cost insurers £900,000 to fix – the biggest bill ever recorded in Britain.

Hate to think what his premiums are now...

Hate to think what OUR premiums will go up by to cover him and all the other Mr.Beans crashing their supercars. You can be sure his insurance is no more than 5 numbers.

"If there is a wider lesson in Sally's story, it is not to agree to paperless statements"

I don't think paper statements would help if you're that clueless, probably just lead to identity fraud too, when they're put in the rubbish unshredded.

This is really interesting. A series of rapes in France have led the police to a set of twins. DNA and eye-witness accounts prove it was one of them, but there's absolutely no way of knowing which one.

    Great plot for a film.

Twist ending: chain smoking louche French detective is able to prove one of the rapes had to have ben committed by two people, therefore sending them both to prison.

    Cast:

Michael Lonsdale as Detective Inspector Jean Jacques de Grenouille, a rumpled detective seeing out his last years in an isolated town.

Shia Le Boeuf in a breakthrough role as the 'Bourgignon' twins, Michel and Alain, petty criminals and suspected rapists.

Samantha Morton as their victim, spending the entire film crying and looking dishevelled.

LB, you really are a massive geek.
