I've been to plenty of airports that have these, usually it just requires a membership to use the priority lanes. Anyone can join and it doesn't cost much but you would need to be a frequent traveller to get any value from it.

    Soldier gives birth in Afghanistan

I was reading this and wondered how a lady would not be able to recognise that she's pregnant.

I'm sure it' fairly common but it just strikes me as a really, really odd phenomenon. Surely 6+ months of no menstruation would be a bit of a give away, no?

My missus stopped having periods for a couple of years when she went on Implanon (contraceptive implant). However, it would of course make it even less likely she'd become pregnant.

Some people have very infrequent, light periods anyway. This does not mean they never ovulate though (though it does mean it's less likely). The fact they're not ovulating may also make them more cavalier with contraception as they just assume they can't get pregnant. Also, some people have bleeding during pregnancy despite a continued viable pregnancy (the "threatened" miscarriage).

Add to that the fact the baby was born premature, a dose of denial, and having a physical build that could hide it...yeah, I can see it happening.

I've heard about it before, obviously, but it just seems really odd that she wouldn't have known something was off other than a stomach ache. No noticeable bulge, no kicks etc.

Bet it scares the crap out of women that this happen to, one moment you've got a bit of belly rot, the next you're holding a crying child.

Yeah. I actually think this this is the sort of thing that would probably happen to me if I was a woman, as I'm so disorganised and lose track of time so easily. Just like I'd go atm "Oh I really need to fix that tap" and then before you know Xmas has come and gone and a year is past and the tap is dripping, I could so easily see myself going "Oh, I wonder when my last period was? Seems like quite a..." BANG I have a baby.

(Yes, that is the noise that happens when babies come out)

I'm a massive denier of anything physical that happens to me. If I ever get cancer I'm fucked as I'd definitely ignore it until it killed me.

Denial is an odd thing. Being pregnant is a whole lot different to just getting a bit fat.

Meanwhile... Death Row inmate too fat to execute

A strange game. The only winning move is not to play.

Happened to a friend about 15 years ago. She was proper walking stick skinny. When a mate announced she had a baby, nobody believed him since we'd all seen her 3 weeks prior at a party, drinking, dancing, smoking and looking 100% non pregnant.

There's more to it than just being pregnant, looking pregnant but somehow remaining in denial.

She was too pregnant to execute?

Think I'll just switch everything off.

Weird though it might sound, lots of people also have very little idea about what pregnancy involves generally. As in, to the extent that they'll not know if they're meant to still menstruate.

One of the women (who had the same thing happen) who was on the radio the other day said she didn't stop getting periods (very light usually anyway) and she didn't get particularly fat as apparently she was wearing the same jeans she had been wearing off and on for the previous year.

Nor, apparently, did her breasts get noticeably bigger.

In some cases the women even keep taking the pill although the pregnancy so aren't expecting periods. The body is a weird thing sometimes.

    Was just reading that, shocking.

more details here, it gets worse

Jealousy and insecurity at it's worst.

A girlfriend's sexual past can play on a guy's mind, it's an uncomfortable thought for any boyfriend.

But if her past fills you with so much contempt and hatred and anger then get the fuck out of there for both your sakes, stupid tard.

It's certainly peculiar, but it strikes me that as body modders, it's one of the less extreme things they could do.
