When he dies he wants all the music that he has paid form to be available to his family, he doesn't want his iTunes account to become the property of Apple.

He wants to be legally able to pass on his files to his family. As it stands they have no rights to the files or his iTunes account, the access rights die with him.

    http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2197528/Vorayuth-Yoovidhya-Red-Bull-heir-accused-killing-policeman-hit-run-accident-Ferrari.html

Daily Fail actually doing a reasonable job of reporting the news. Initially the police tried to help the heir to Red Bull cover up the fact that he hadn't stopped and dragged a police officer for 200m after crashing into his bike. Now with the eyes of the world on the case we might actually see a wealthy person go to jail. ( On many occasions wealthy drivers have killed many people due drunk driving and got away scot free.)

Sadly they skipped the alcohol test until 12 hours later and are currently trying to massage the figures with local media help as the 200m has dropped to 50m.

Observations of news reports over the last year I've been living here.

You might want to look back at the link I posted about the police who were sentenced to death, then released on bail... Nothings been heard about them since.

If you really want I'll go digging for links when I'm not on my phone.

And hours later they found a 4 year old girl hiding in the footwell under her mother's legs, where she'd been keeping quiet for about 8 hours.

Very odd indeed. Feel sorry for the poor sod that seems to have happened to cycle by as it all kicked off and got shot as well.

Thailand is cracking down on people bringing counterfeit goods into the country.

One of the more ridiculous things the government's announced recently.
I know this is a week old, but why is this ridiculous? Surely its an attempt to stamp out a grey market and prevent the propagation of copyright infringement? I can't see why that's a bad thing.

It's laughable because why would anyone bother to worry about what passengers bring in when everywhere you go counterfeit goods are openly on sale.

Thailand's pretty well known for it, and it's amusing to think you can buy and wear them here but you could have a problem if you tried to return in the shirt you bought at MBK shopping mall.

Republican politician threatens an American football team because one of its players is in favour of gay marriage. Much publicity and a hilariously biting comeback ensues:

    http://deadspin.com/5941348/?utm_campaign=socialflow_deadspin_twitter&utm_source=deadspin_twitter&utm_medium=socialflow&post=52508879

    My favourite bits:

It baffles me that a man such as yourself, a man who relies on that same First Amendment to pursue your own religious studies without fear of persecution from the state, could somehow justify stifling another person's right to speech. To call that hypocritical would be to do a disservice to the word. Mindfucking obscenely hypocritical starts to approach it a little bit.
the mental gymnastics your brain has to tortuously contort itself through to make such a preposterous statement are surely worthy of an Olympic gold medal (the Russian judge gives you a 10 for "beautiful oppressionism").
If gay marriage becomes legal, are you worried that all of a sudden you'll start thinking about penis? "Oh shit. Gay marriage just passed. Gotta get me some of that hot dong action!" Will all of your friends suddenly turn gay and refuse to come to your Sunday Ticket grill-outs? (Unlikely, since gay people enjoy watching football too.)
P.S. I've also been vocal as hell about the issue of gay marriage so you can take your "I know of no other NFL player who has done what Mr. Ayanbadejo is doing" and shove it in your close-minded, totally lacking in empathy piehole and choke on it.

An architecture firm has come up with a design for London's floating airport. Perhaps most interesting is that a similar but raised idea was suggested in the 30s.

Should get the Dutch in...they'll create you a little island just off the coast near the Thames estuary, for a price :D Btw, a man-made island was one of the possible solutions for Schiphol's over-crowding.

Just what did they think they were going to do with them? It's not like you can run pushing a big sports bike. The armed bit made me laugh as well. All show and they did not actually swing their bar once before throwing it.

I live where this happened. My cousin lives across the road from the police station where he turned himself in. Because of how dangerous they considered him they've evacuated the surrounding area around the police station. They knocked on her door and told her to leave immeadiately while she was still in her pyjamas and she's had to go to my nans house. All the surrounding schools have been told to keep there kids all together too like in the gym or somewhere appropriate. Seems a bit overkill to me.
