6 victims dead (plus the shooter). Awful.

    What's it gonna take America?

Perhaps you should go over and lecture them personally.

Can someone remove the 'inspired by America' line from the title, if all we do in this thread is discuss American shootings.

Well how about one from my neck of the woods then? Four teenagers shot in Merseyside

    No deaths mind you.

    More like it :)

It seems I was mistaken, looking back at the first page, in thinking that this thread was originally created as a catch-all for non-US shootings. Presumably it was renamed at some point, giving us the current title, but I assume that was to allow European shootings as well, not exclude US ones. I apologise.

Solution: Mandatory guns for everyone. If everyone is armed to the teeth, nobody will shoot each other. It's just common sense.

Well if only the Sikh's carried ceremonial M4s as opposed to daggers then I'm sure this tragedy could have been prevented.

Apparently it was a lone white guy, and he was killed by a cop.

The odds that it was some militant teabagger out to kill muslims are pretty high.

Ignorance seems high with this one. Shame :(

A witness told officers the shooter was a white male, with a heavy build, bald head and wearing a sleeveless T-shirt.

Maybe it was a mental bear confusing the temple with a Chik Fil a?

    @Flightrisker

The very fact the first responder was armed, unlike say, the UK, is what ended this latest incident. Outside of a major UK city it'd take time to get anyone armed on the scene and there would be more fatalities.

That's because we don't need armed reponders popping up in 2mins because we don't shoot each other in the face every 10min.

In the UK armed police are always first to the scene if firearms are involved, whether it's a shooting spree or robbery.

    Anyway, awful news :(

Yeah in the UK we use knives as guns are too quick. You can't savour all the little emotions.
