He is. Unfortunately, the only sound component cables make is silence.

As the forum now supports image embedding I thought I'd do a repost of my second page comment.

    Sorry about that, phAge.

Actually on a almost related note I cannot connect my 360 to the tv in my hotel room.

The HDMI channel seems to have been deactivated. (Along with all other service channels like S Video, Scart and VGA).

    Very annoying.

Let's just take a minute to reflect and remind ourselves which people had sound from their televisions and who didn't!

A festive bump just in case anyone gets a 360 tomorrow, wants to use a component lead and is stuck with a "Silent Night" of gaming.

    Merry Christmas one and all!

I love this thread. The very embodiment of the joy, sharing and companionship that Christmas is all about. And silence, don't forget the silence.

Have a threesixty hooked up to my Sony LCD (via component) and my amp (via optical). This is great for most things, but when I want to play GH3 *really* loud, I'd like to put on my Sennheissers and RAWK! This shouldn't be a problem, were it not because I can't seem to get any sound from my 360 to my telly, and I haven't got a jack-to-minijack adapter, which my amp requires before I can plug in my 'phones.

Any idea why there is zero audio coming from my telly, even though all 3 component-cables are in the correct positions?
    Did you get it sorted?

Hopefully this thread is still going long after the concept of wired connections has been consigned to history.

I can see a red plug, it's next to the blue and green ones. But think you must be mistaken about the white one.
