Just finished The Limey|
Very watchable flick, enjoyed the non-sequential cuts and general style of the film. Nice and snappy as well, with barely a wasted second of screen time.
Can see why it (presumably) struggled to find an audience at the cinema, but thankful that it's received recommendation in the years since. Been on the 'to watch' list for far a while and didn't disappoint. Thoroughly recommended!
On the weekend I caught:
Can't argue with the £3 I paid for a DVD copy - it was worth that for a one off watch - but for some reason I was expecting something more believable. In my mind I was expecting a gory, medieval equivalent to Zulu, but it was more throwaway popcorn affair. It sat quite oddly, as though it wanted to be something more than an action film but didn't know how to go about it.
