Man of Steel|
Possibly the most sterile experience I've had in the cinema for many a year.
Maybe that's being a touch harsh, as there's about 1/4 of semi-interesting stuff in there (the flash-back moments mainly), but it really felt as though the writers and director horribly misjudged the tone and design of the film. There was virtually no threat or emotion present, and the climax was laughable in its execution. Did anyone at WB actually watch the last half an hour before they released it?
The biggest thing it had going for it was acting as stark reminder of just how great the original trilogy was (Superman 4 doesn't exist to me) and how underrated Christopher Reeve was in the role.
When you can't see the angles on the wall you're in trouble.
