Behind the Candelabra: 6/10|
Normally love Soderbergh, but didn't particularly enjoy this. Liberace was a walking, talking expository device. I don't have a huge regard for hatchet job biopics where the soul purpose is to undermine the legacy of someone (see the recent BBC film about Hitchcock, for example). Still, it's always nice to see Soderbergh at work, and the camerawork in places was especially ace. He really makes an effort to transition from wide establishing shots to more intimate setups without cutting, which makes for some interesting visuals.
