The Saddest Music in the World (2003) 8.5/10

Discovered this by chance. One of the quotes read:
    “Unforgettably warped and thoroughly wonderful!”

I enjoyed it. It’s somewhat surreal with it’s 1933 picture quality, black and white, grainy - sometimes switching to colour. Minutes into the film I began to wonder if it was by the same director who created the excellent My Winnipeg (2007) and a quick search on IMDb revealed it was the same director, Guy Maddin.
