Zero Dark Thirty: 8/10|
Very tense work, even though ultimately you know where the film is heading.
The Debt: 5/10
The entire cast displays uneven accents, but mildly interesting.
Spielberg is infatuated with smoke machines, to the point where he uses them at all times to add supposed depth to his compositions. Even indoors. He frequently makes illogical lighting choices in order to cast shadows across anything and everything, again to add supposed depth. It's an addiction and a sign of lazy direction. The film is poorly paced and badly acted in many places. I'd really recommend avoiding this lincoln log.
