Much like the first film, the overal vibe I got from this one is: America = Good, the rest = Bad. Literally all scenes that take place in eagleland sell an image of perfection, whereas everything that takes place elsewhere sells the exact opposite.
After the first 25 minutes or so of forced and unconvincing happy family-scenes and cringeworthy dialogue between father, ex-wife & daughter we finally get some relentless action and it does make the film quite entertaining.
In the end, Taken 2 boils down to: Liam Neeson kicking foreigner ass and I suppose that's what'll float everyone's boat...
