Martha Marcy May Marlene is good. Its ideas are stronger than the execution, but it's very powerful at times and features moving performances from Elizabeth Olsen and a frankly horrifying John Hawkes. Here's my full review, contains spoilers but nothing that should affect your enjoyment of the film: basically a short critique of part of the ending, which itself is not as important as how the characters reached that point. A solid 70%.|
And since there's chat about Dragon Tattoo, that was pretty good too, although apart from Rooney Mara's more vulnerable take on Lisbeth, more or less identical to the Swedish version. Surprised Fincher couldn't have put a stronger stamp on it. The credits sequence and Trent Reznor's score are brilliant, though. Another 70%.
