Watched this last night. Can't decide whether it was clever or unintentionally off-key. It's almost as if it didn't want you to laugh whilst trying to make you do so (especially with the comedic, if gory, violence)
But even the more obvious laugha are (deliberately) tainted with the knowledge that the main 'hero' is a seriously disturbed individual.
My wife and I both enjoyed it and it didn't outstay its welcome. If you really dislike Ellen Page then I probably wouldn't bother (though I thought her character was the best thing in it)
